HI everyone...is there any breast cancer survivers here that had theres grade 3 tumours & lymph nodes involved Her negative..my main concern is 4 lymph nodes had cancer and were extracapsular...so I'm worried theres a higher risk of reoccurrance...I've had mastectomy & full lymph node removal...now on chemo..then radiotherapy..& tamaoxfin 10 years....I've lost another friend this week from this horrible disease she was triple negative so I'm having a bit of a melt down
I know everyone's different but I'm struggling to find anyone with advanced local breast cancer that is a survivor & not had secondary..all body scans are clear
Thankyou xx
Hi Nic
Thanks for your reply & being so positive...I too want to have as little as possible surgery but at I think I need to have some type of reconstruction so I'll just take whichever option is available easiest..also I'm small breasted and really sporty.....yes I'm hoping I can get my life back on track after treatment and hope the fact it was caught before it had spread and the fact I'm the type that responds well to treatment gives me a good chance...I didnt realise the statistics were only %40 survival for 10 years till I just read one of the replies on here...which is a real worry...but all of our situations are unique so hopefully this will be a distant memory & i get to see my little boy grow up
Stay safe
