Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:

Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.

Hi WhatHappened, download that 10 minute app, as it does work, all you need is a daily 10 minutes of brisk walking….. I usually manage much more (except for Tuesday when I had too much to do in collecting the van!)

Haha Northerner, love the March of the fruit loops and can see your elephant in the tree now! Tree and blue sky moomy - perfect. Jgau hope healing is quick, join me virtually every day, I shall imagine you’re beside me (but socially distanced of course). WhatHappened please do try to get out, just round the block to start with, 5 minutes at a time? I have walked daily since the start of the pandemic and I’ve not caught Covid. It’s so good for the soul just to get out briefly. Or could you drive to somewhere y you know is really quiet?

I'm still getting in a short walk each morning and thinking of those who are not able to get out at present. It was pretty chilly today but great to have some sunshine.

I'm afraid today we've been really lazy and proper tourists. We went to Albufeira old town and we did walk through the lanes to the sea but we succumbed to lunch on the sea front. OH had fish and chips and I had ribs. Our excuse.....we don't get the chance to have proper battered fish often out of the house but the Portuguese waiter who had lots of Portuguese treats on the menu was chuckling.....we knew he thought 'Brits a
broard!'

I'm still getting out and about. This was at the beginning of the week. I've hard to sign on through phone as that's where my pics are altho I'm usually on my iPad. Jgau hope you're out opwalking soon and you have a good recovery after eye op.

I agree moomy I’ve found the Active 10 app more achievable therefore more motivating . Love the fact that it adds the brisk steps cumulatively so when I slow down for Dexter to have a mooch and sniff as dogs do then it will count the minutes in total but brisk when I restart .
