Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.

2.61miles walked - to town and back, posted the children’s birthday cards and bought fillet steaks for our Christmas dinner (now in the freezer) plus a ham hock which is simmering away, some slices of gala pie (one eaten for lunch!) and some posh gravy! Plus picked up repeat prescriptions on my way back too.

Well I went for my walk this morning and got ONE thing...some carpet cleaner....and saw my s-in-law,so can keep up with how my brother is as I am keeping away as he is shielding.Oh dear he has a UTI now but hopefully the antibiots will kick in before long.Anyway,I must say,it is giving me a little way to speak to someone each day which I must say I need.
I passed this garden outside an Old People’s flats and there was a lovely rose, and beneath it a ring of poppies.I wondered whether somebody’s ashes were there. It was kind of sad.I haven’t seen that beforexxI do hope I wasn’t intruding by taking a picyure but it was right there near the pavement x
Managed to work out how to upload photos. This was taken today out walking. So lucky to live in this beautiful area of Sussex
Ooooh, how lovely!
Just walked another 2 miles, hubs wheeling, spotted a brave buttercup still in flower! Hugs xxx

Beautiful photos everyone, the autumn colours are amazing this year. Love Bob the pony! And the beach photos are lovely, wish I was near the coast. But plenty of countryside nearby so am very happy to have it on my doorstep. Several walks over last few days, even some new routes, always good to find some variations on familiar paths. Love to all, HFxx
Hi All,
What a beautiful time of year it is, great photos everyone!
Went for a long walk today in the howling wind and rain with the dogs in tow and it did me the world of good. X
Hi all, I agree Ricecrispie, whatever the weather I always feel better for having been out. I walked with a friend today and had a takeaway sandwich at a park cafe where we always sit outside anyway. Felt like a real treat! Lucky with the weather, no rain at all apart from a sprinkling later when walking tge dog.
A field full of horses on the way back....
