Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Lovely photos ladies! Good to see some more walkers, Alouise and , walking is my passion. Just love being out, definitely a sanity saver for me. A new route today to a familiar area, nice round trip of 5-6 miles. Weather was glorious after a misty, murky start to the day. Heron by the river, look for him amongst the foliage! Wonderful tree sculptures and long horned cows. Love to all, HFxx
As always lovely photos. HappyFeet1 spotted the Hiding Heron
I’m new to this walking group. Love walking, I play golf three days a week but in lockdown will be walking instead with a friend . Yesterday first day of lockdown we walked for nearly three hours over the South Downs. The sun was shining and it was so warm we were stripping off. Felt so alive and well.
How do I load a photo here?
Hi, , to load a picture, there should be a sort of tiny mountain icon in your ‘reply’ box as you type, click on that and it ‘should’ give you an option to take or upload a photo.

Over 2 miles walked today, needed to take hubs’ sharps box in, then bought cooking apples, satsumas, night face cream, contact lens cleaner, and 2 types of bread flour, all from our lovely shops in town, and struggled back with it all! It’s just over a mile each way!
