Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Violetsniff, you crafty people are so clever, beautiful things yiu make, more pics please xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
.......bless you.you are SO encouraging xxxx
And,just for the record...I think you are a born Doctor xxxx
Violetsniff that looks like a lovely cushion cover, good work!
And I’ve enjoyed the crochet, new lighting arrangements and talk of Snowdon. I did it a few years ago up the Pyg track with my OH who has vertigo. Bless him, he managed to get up about 70% then had a wobble and had to retreat. He should have gone with his Mum on the train!
Anyway it’s a wonderful accomplishment, Leolady it must have been lovely going with your son or daughter I’m not sure which!
Had much nicer weather today and a lovely 2 hour walk in the woods with dogs and chums. Very muddy!
Thanks so much,...that means a lot.
I wish sometimes these “Adventure Holidays”included “embroidery, knitting, paper art”etc...as well as the usual “Falconary and Archery”...just saying...
my greatest sympathies are with your other half.
you and did verywell xx
it sounds as if you had a lovely walk today with your friendsxx
Pyg path there and miners path down. It was one heck of a challenge . May half term. We had sun tan lotion, mossie repellant and waterproofs. All were used . And thank goodness I had half term to recover
Today’s Tai Chi was amazing but quite tiring
So we called in a curry and I snoozed tomthe rugby

Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
Snowdon is hard going, whichever route, even the Llanberis path is a very long slog! I’ve done almost all routes, at varying times of life, the last being Pyg and Miners merged and down Llewedd, with hubs and both kids who were in their late teens, so a good 20+ years back! I’ve been both lucky and unlucky with the weather; the mountains in Britain can see all four seasons within a few hours!
So, respect for anyone who safely get up and down our big hills!
Little walking for me today but I think out of the 8 hours we were at TNMOC within BP we were both on our feet most of the time, even cutting lunch as visitors walked in. Shattered.com!
Hugs xxx
Moomy
, missed you out on my post, sorry, your crocheting is lovely xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Hi all, had lovely walk yesterday to a 'stately home' type place with pretty gardens and grounds, also very nice coffee in front of a fire. Felt a bit of a scruff in my wellies! Today not mush walking but the weather's been grim again most of the day.
Violetsniff I love your cushion and that pretty plate, I think you like the finer things in life? I am useless at needlework, can just about hem but am likely to use wundawebb or just have turn ups on my jeans (bit of a short a***)!
Lovely woods photo .
Happy walking all, hope weather better next week..... HFxx
