Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hi Violetsniff,
Yes I suspect you’d got rather dehydrated, glad you thought to have a big drink of water (and tea too!) and so glad you began to feel better!
I suspect we are all so un-used to the sudden heat and humidity that we forget to drink more!
I’m sat with a big glass of water now after my walk, part was uphill and I felt like striding out fast and was so glad to get to the top into the shade under a tree with a breeze!

Hi LeoLady,
2 hours of gardening? In this heat??
Gracious! I think that’s hard work, me duck!
Yes, apparently Edgbaston was really badly hit, but parts of Northampton too, and a cute village not hugely far from here that lies in a valley, the road through was just impassable. I gather the storms went in a sort of line from south east, gathered strength through the midlands and then travelled north west.....

A picckie taken at a colliery (whwere we had a scrummy home-cooked meal) on our way back from Haworth....we were just sitting on the Coach waiting to go and up came these gorgeous pit ponies...I am not sure of the name of it.Wish I had kept my Grandads’ pit lantern, apparently good ones go for £160 now!!xx
Hi all .... walk today didn't pan out, garden required lots of attention once we started (aka Leolady56) - for me it too many privet hedges (OH attacked these and I was on clearing up duty). But its looking lovely now, and planning to go for the walk tomorrow which hopefully won't be as busy as Bank Holiday Monday. The Queen has very kindly given me the day off tomorrow for her official birthday next month.
Loved the bathing hat Violetsniff I have to confess I had one similar when I was I was a child. Hope you a feeling better. As others have said it may the heat and dehydration. I had a spell were I felt regularly faint and it turned out my iron levels were very very low. So worth getting checked out if they continue as there may be an underlying (simple) explanation.
Good for you moomy on getting out for a walk. Wow on your boating adventure. And your hair sounds amazing seaspirit44
Flossie25 hope you made a decision on the new car
Hope everyone has a lovely day tomorrow, what ever the weather

Hi Violetsniff, I got one of those for my recovery period when I first got BC. It finally disintegrated sadly. It was to disguise my bald head.
I think I'll wait till Friday so I can enjoy the colours all week. Love the photo xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Didn’t get to test drive Eddiboy as they didn’t have a manual petrol on site so it’s on for tomorrow... got back home and it was gardening for us too ... it desperately needed the grass hoovering. Forgot got to ask before but hope your mam is doing ok xx
