Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Very hot today, so got up early and got to the waterpark by 8. Beautiful, quiet, and lots of birdsong. Saw a wren, and a grebe, and the swan family. Lots of recordings, and it recognised the parakeets, not done before. Saw 3 herons from the HUD’s, sorryrubbish pic.
Slowly getting used to the new car. There was a warning light on which neither of us can identify. Will have to scour the manual. Love to all xxx
No pic, ipad playing up
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Nice to see you here again Flossie25 , love the colourful photos from India and good to get walking again. Hope meds can be adjusted to help energy levels.
Sabrina22 , so sorry to hear of your loss, dogs are so special and such an integral part of our everyday lives, heartbreaking when they go. But always right to let them go when you know its their ‘time’ xxx
Have done morning walks this week before the day hots up to much and in shade where possible. Towpath walk to next town and back yesterday, with lunch stop in a cafe where I hadn’t been since pre lockdown! Lovely to see same staff and very nice sandwiches. Some swan pics for you Violetsniff . Love to all, HFxx
Thanks HappyFeet1
Out this morning for a walk. If my toes weren’t sore could have doubled up the distance but 4 miles is good for me at the minute. Got the bus back to the village. Think I’ll have walking sandals on next time and set off a couple of hours earlier. 10 am was a bit late but managed quite well, at my own pace. Didn’t take any pics but here’s one of the gladioli that had sprouted while away
seaspirit44 you had the right idea to be out and at the water park by 8 …

Yes I agree Flossie25 ….getting out to see nature early in the day is fab.I can’t do it now,but one bright day I got up at 5 am and walked down to the River. It was misty and quite quietly the swans came flying in unison along the water through the mist from upriver.I think they were coming for breakfast as I am not sure of their habits, and a man used to feed them there. It was a beautiful moment.xxxMy friends are away on hols this week so was feeling bit lonesome so took myself on a river boat trip.it was everso cheap as I am a pensioner now.I got some lovely photos downriver.Xxx
a very young couple got caught in the trees on the bank and someone behind me on the boat was saying oh dear he can’t steer he’s going to wrong way.His girlfriend was pointing the direction he should go.Oh dear,Young Love!!xxThankyou.for your swans HappyFeet1 ….and so sorry about your dog, xx

That sounds familiar, the story about the man thinking he knows best. Hmmmfff
Thank you, we are getting used to him being above us, not on the Earthy Plane. Bless him.
I’ve only just seen this thread. Love it. I have a doggie so have had to walk every day regardless of how I’m feeling. It’s really helped especially when I’ve felt a bit sad. It lifts my spirits. Always. So I’d like to join this thread and will post a pic soon of something from my regular walks. Sending you all love and best wishes for uplifting walks. X
Danced back to happiness yesterday on Brighton beach.
