Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Done my ‘mile’ plus a bit more, was listening to Vaughan Williams’ on a theme by Thomas Tallis, scrummy string music on classicfm.
I confess I did feel more like an afternoon nap but that’s helped keep me awake.

Moomy
Just local dog walk today nobody but Dexter and me and the trees on local green space
Gosh I so wish I could get quiet walks like that! It’s all far too busy round here. We did think about taking the van out as you are allowed to travel to get that exercise, but the ‘forest’ will be full of dog walkers as it was when we tried in the spring. And I guess the car parks will be full too. We are in an overpopulated area, no doubt about that!

Moomy
Must admit moomy although I live in suburbs in what was a village when I was young , of a small town .The place has managed to maintain the village feeling with plenty of green area and country parks .as they are now called . There are certain walks that get very busy i.e. Old railway line .
Being shielded all the time has taught me to go out in car and find other places to walk within short distances . Once hubby sorted get out in van to try to find areas with wider paths and green spaces .
A frosty wonderland this morning on my early walk take care if you have ice xx

Love swans Violetsniff they are so majestic, but boy it must be freezing in that water
So many swans Violetsniff, lovely action video. And looks very cold Santababy, pretty though. And love the poppies. Lovely trees against that blue sky Northerner. Off now for dog walk, did an hour’s Nordic yoga (!) this morning. Hope the sun will last, it’s bright at the moment so might be some winter warmth. HFxx
