So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?

    Hya Deb09,

I really struggled for around 9 days with bone pain after the T to. I found a hot water bottle accross my hips & back helped a lot. Paracetamol helped a bit but codeine & ibuprofen did zilch. I was given an anti-imflamatory begininning with S that really helped but I was still house bound for almost 2 weeks.

All I can say is, apart from the first 4-5 days, it gets a bit better each day.

I really feel for you Deb and sending a huge gentle cuggle to you. Xxx

  • Bigguy- Thanks il try the hot water bottle and take some more codeine, this is the worst I've felt throughout the chemo, the pain for me at the min is so severe I could cry but it' s good to know that it will fade soon, il get to the gp first thing I think I need a bleeding tranquilizer to knock me out ! Im ' having a meltdown but will recover I'm sure xx

  • Hi  just following on from  got me thinkimg have you tried wheat bags, bean bags you can put in microwave to heat up and maybe ease the pain. They're moudable to your shape and some come with straps you can tie on to hurty bits?

I do hope you get some relief soon

  • Jacmatholmad - Thanks Jac, il get some il try anything, the hot water bottle Bigguy suggested is easing the bottom of my back and hips but I could do with a couple more to put elsewhere! Goodness it's like being in bleeping labour again with the twins! I hope I'm not scaring others that are about to have the T part as I do suffer with fibromyalgia too so I think this is why I'm struggling perhaps more than some so I apologise for my moaning but I've had to reach out to you ladies for these tips, it's reassuring that it will pass I just feel a bit beaten and defeated now as this is 3 days of relentless pain! Thanks ladies Deb x

  • Jacmatholmad - I've ordered 2 and will be delivered tomorrow thanks ever so much Deb x

Debs, sorry you're in so much pain, pants post for you today

Wheat bags are good though i have one, plus a clay one which i tend to use cold more than hot, but they are good for moulding to body parts. Yes your fibro is probably not helping. Hope they do trick and you get some relief soon

Jeepers creepers. What a lot of poo btm  fbomb you are coping with

Lots of great support and advice from the lovely people who inhabit The Operation thread but ....

Tomorrow morning you pick up that bleeping phone to BCN or Onco team

AND you say enough is enough is enough

They have a whole host of meds at their finger tips and they will need to find the one that ticks boxes for you

That's my best advice lovely lady because battling the BC is enough but battling BC meds SE's is really not necessary

Hope to hear you have put your point to someone and got some help.  I might have said before but a pal has 'xyz drug' but 5/6 others to combat it ..

Soft and gentle hugs this evening

  • Hiya

Just a quickie as have been feeling very chemoed myself today.. just fatigued and unable to function properly but nothing as bad as your pain. Now have child with tummy ache who cant sleep arrgh!

Would just echo what Leo said... try all the things our friends on here suggest  bit also get to Dr/speak to onco team/BCN and see what they can offer you. And I will cross everything that it starts to ease on its own accord tomorrow as you move towards week 2.

Sending you lots and lots of love and wishing that there was something I could do to help you.

    Lots of love

Trying to get her to nod off and hope it sorts itself out but we have bowl next to bed as a precaution. Could be a long night  which is exactly what dont need but nothing can do.
