  • Hey Sal I had the bloods done on Thursday, first chance I had. So no results yet. Hot, cold - doesn't seem to make much difference really. There is some loss of sensation in a couple of fingertips, otherwise it feels like a cross between a bruise and a cramp. If that makes any sense!!!

    Have a good day folks

    xx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • LondonLass, sorry you're so exhausted. It's trying to keep going with this awful disease, plus all your other problems. Are you responding yet to the Carb? I hope they are keeping a proper eye on you with all the necessary blood tests.

    Hugs xxxx

LondonLass, looking forward to having LP's company tomorrow for my scan results. I will make sure I have titbits for him, but hope he does not cronch them while I am in with the consultant. The nurses don't mind though. I guess he will have a busy day tomorrow with all the others having treatments, getting results etc.

Good luck and hugs to everyone xxxxxx

Have you thought of going to physio, when I went with hands and wrists, he did somthing to my neck. I have to say it has helped alot. The rest is prob wear and tear has iv been compressition bandaging for umpteen years and more......

Just a thought. I hope you find a solution , I know exactly how you feel. I couldn't even hold a pen at 1 piont.

Well house insurance paid, cheaper than renewall quote.

Off to manchester tomorrow for said docs. I never spend on my self, so 2 pairs of docs in a couple of weeks . Wweeeellll sod it.

Hope your all doin ok, no bumps in the path.

    Take care, lots of luv.

Sorry you're having problems, as a retired OT I too had neck/ shoulder problems and my lovely local Physio found dodgy neck vertebrae, manipulated, gave me some traction and it's kept me going! Might be worth asking? Do you have Physio accessible in your GP surgery as we do? Ours are simply brilliant!

Lovely ladies all, I am resisting the urge to have a nap, I did resist getting to the screen in the night (it was one of those awful can't go to sleep nights!) and just chatted to my GP who is happy to dole out some sleeping tablets which, if I have another dreadful night, I might try.

So, stay-awake-moomy is keeping herself busy, did yoga this morning, then housework then lunch then a 2 mile walk, now cooking a chicken casserole for dinner.....please can somebody send matchsticks to keep these eyes open?!?!?

    Hugs to you all xxx

Mrsox you buy as many pairs of docs as you fancy.anyone going through chemo should treat themselves.

Never had docs myself but whenever you mention them it reminds me of a 2 year old terror I used to mind who had a little pair like her mum’s.she used to give my shins a right kick with them.unfortunately(good job hubby can’t read this:)),her mum ended up marrying my brother in law so she is now family!

GP wanted to make sure there is nothing medical (other symptoms indicate possible underactive thyroid) going on first. If bloods are all normal, a muscular skeletal clinic referral is next. With my neck being quite high on the agenda.

Interesting chat with my office manager today. She's 5 years NED, stopped Tamoxifen after 4 years as she couldn't handle the side effects anymore. She said today her hands were the same as mine, the pain is excruciating sometimes. I said mine felt like someone stamped on them - hers too. So there is an oestrogen component but I don't think it's the biggest one.

So, Audit Day tomorrow. No sleep for me tonight then,

    Karen
