moomy I’m so sorry about your daughter, you have all been through so much, it’s bloody unfair. I hope the scans, etc went smoothly yesterday. Love to you all as ever. I’m having the second part of my tattoo done this week, I shall show you all when it’s done x

I’m now in Thirsk, travelled through to Kilburn which is where there’s a white horse cut on the hillside of the north York Moors, but also where ‘Mouseman’ lived and worked. Sadly the museum devoted to his work hasn’t opened since Covid but his offspring are still carving mice in their furniture and items for sale (not cheap!) and there is a workshop over he road. I was able to take a photo of the fireplace surround he carved, complete with two mice.
