Has anyone heard from Violetsniff?? I know her big brother was in poor health. Wonder if that's why she hasn't been on here. Miss her x
I haven’t heard, Snowys Mum , not sure if seaspirit44 might have?
I’ve a tearful daughter here right now, her friendship with someone who seemed a good personality support match for her has broken down, and a long weekend next weekend with family and friends which daughter organised is also falling apart so she feels very bereft. Wish I could help but all I can do is give her big hugs if she needs them, and of course have already done so. Henry is helping a bit too of course even though he doesn’t understand.
Night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe, plenty of sleepy fairy dust for all who wish

Think my body is gone in shock
Hair has gone past the shredding and today's wash that was it it was coming our in clunks. What as still was so matty, hubby had to comb it!
Earlier this morning my bowels eventually opened up for the 1st time without problem and felt better! Then bang the hair!
Brought a wig online and thought I can do this. Then for the last 2 hours been up and down to the toilet and the sane time want to throw up. Time of writing this on the throne!
Just hope today will be a better day !!
Jackiewackie10 I hope today will be a better day for you. Sorry about the hair and if you continue to feel sick, can you contact your team for better anti sickness meds? Sending hugs xxx
moomy ah your poor daughter, sometimes this happens with friends. It may be jealousy with her being successful in her touring. Xx She's always got you and Henry xxx
Sending best wishes to all for the coming week
Snowys Mum and moomy Violetsniff is on Facebook and seems OK but does not post any personal stuff x
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Today I went to a town group run by OTs for cancer patients; interesting but don’t think it’s for me.
Daughter still very ‘down’ and didn’t want to do much, but son has arrived with dog asking her help in designing posters which I think is lifting her.
Museum this morning was fascinating, after I’d done my normal maintenance and checks, I learnt more about the Typex machine we now have on loan.
Typex was the British equivalent to ‘Enigma’ but they were bigger, heavier and more complex. However, they could be modified to work like Enigma and that was all kept very secret, so Bletchley could have lots of them, and they had two printers, printing onto paper tape, one prints what is typed, by the copy typists, the other what the correct settings decode, so in WW2, plain or Military German. That would be handed to linguists to translate, then intelligence staff decided how the secret information would be used.
so the machine we now have is the final part of the Enigma/Bombe demonstration. So great to have it in place, thanks to GCHQ.
me today? Tired, it’s been a busy day, but thankfully radiotherapy itching has virtually all gone and redness is easing/going browner, I’m still drinking plenty of water and creaming twice a day, but am finding I can wear a bra more now. I’m finding I’ve got a deeper ‘strange’ feeling in the whole area, which I can’t explain….I've at last got more energy again (I suspect having to give Henry twice daily walks has helped with that)

Night night moomy glad that itching has calmed down. What was the OT session? I have been added to a pink ladies group for ladies recovering from breast cancer, I’ve only been to 1 so far but it was great, we had tea and cake and there were some fab ladies there who were very funny, had us in stitches laughing. Was it a more serious group?
Why were you at the museum, sounds great, love learning all that stuff.
had my 2nd round of radiotherapy today, It’s going ok so far, but I’ve had a long day today. Early walking the dogs, working the morning. Then hospital for my herceptin injection then onto another hospital for radiotherapy, then home to do a bit more work then onto a colleagues leaving do. I’m soooo tired but wanted to say goodbye to her so I’m glad I went. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit more relaxing. Working from home in the morning and radiotherapy in the afternoon.
