Hi April2021,
I am so sorry to read about what has happened and may I first offer my sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
At times like these, there are really no words that can help ease a persons pain, but on here at least people do understand somewhat and come together to give huge support.
I know it’s not going to be easy, but please take one day at a time and do not be to hard on yourself, I’m sure you did everything you could for your lovely daughter and feel sure she knew that and loved you to.
God bless you and please come here anytime to chat.xx
April2021 I'm so sorry this disease has taken your dear daughter. How to deal with it, I have no idea, the grief must be so hard.
Know we are here for you. You can say anything at any time in complete confidence. Sending you lots of love and hugs and my sincere condolences xxx
Saw the dermatologist yesterday at the local hospital, and was relieved to hear that my 2 skin lesions are just sun damage, not cancer. He zapped them both with liquid nitrogen. Xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Well I'm back from oncology consultation... And I have to say LP has earned himself quite a few Spanish admirers. He behaved impeccably... Until he noticed the hospital restaurant! I am still in awe of how quickly he managed to clear all the display shelves that were loaded with food for folk to buy... He's having a little siesta under the parasol with his feet chilling in the Med right now.
Oncologist says all is good. Bloods were excellent he said. I asked about the lumpiness around the scar area. He says it's where the tissue has become fibrous, so basically scar tissue. He also said that the area in my breast which has really sunk in is all perfectly natural. I told him that at the age of nearly 69 I'm not overly concerned about whether my breasts are pert or even normal looking, just so long as there is nothing else going on which I'm not aware of. He smiled broadly and told me I have nothing to be worried about, that my breasts were great.... Gosh I wasn't expecting that hahaha.
Throughout the consultation good old LP sat crunching his way through a bag of crisps and slurping though the straw of his slush puppie...he was happy!
LondonLass , I've told him his holiday is nearly over, but he doesn't look too enamoured at the thoughts of returning to UK temps.... And with the collection of senorita's mobile numbers he collected, I have a feeling he's going to be busy....
Sally
