  • Ooo  !lovely Wedding photos and such a lovely lift.Love the signed trainers?EMINENTLY. SENSIBLE for an excited bride.

So sorry I can’t read/answer everyone as I am up to my neck organising 1)my twin coming to stay in town from abroad ;2.)my on-coming Operation (THipR)coming quickly down the line, and 3)coping with the sadness of seeing my older brother 2 evenings ago.

Soooooo many people are ringing each day (OT’s,SWATT etc)helping but really I just need a little time to think myself….

am doing contingency plans for when I have the op….and needing to do research to make educated decisions ….etc etc.

My sis is trying to help too as I can get a little muddled when overwhelmed.

also had two teeth filled yesterday and I felt like a parrot who’s beak was crossed over every time I tried to speak to anyone! It took a long time to wear off,but was handy.

then this morning had a lovely text from a friend saying she was going to a local barn we all love full of old things, would I like to go?

    OOOO YES PLEASE!

So bought a beautiful crossstitch going for a song and another doll to refurnish with hair and clothes!!yippee a project…oh!and she needs two arms….challenge accepted!!

hoping you find help if you need on here   I can see you have been, and anyone else new….

lots love,(little squeaky voice  from under the bedclothes!)

  • Take a breath   you’ll be leaping around with your new hip soon .

the bride is the young lady who became a paramedic last year so more used to rushing around in boots Joy but they both have a sense of humour as this photo shows

One step at a time and ...Breathe !

  •   , will be thinking of you, you’ve a lot on right now, but those pre-op assessments are all helpful (I know, was an OT and of course hubs had both hips replaced)

  • And I've had a total of 3 hip replacements.  , you won't regret having it done!

  • Wow,  , that’s going some! Did your first fail? Hubs had his first aged 47, it was still fine when he died aged 74. Odd that, a transposition of 2 numbers….

  • A long, sad story  , but the original make of prosthesis I had fitted became a recall from the manufacturer. A fault in the material used, caused a leeching of metal ions into my blood. I was one of thousands of people affected. My old prosthesis was removed and a new one fitted...job done. Compensation was paid by the company.

My sons call me the bionic woman...three hips and a metal knee! Hahaha

  • Good morning all....bionic or otherwise!

Beautiful today after last night's storm. It has taken the stifling humidity away.......I have been to the bakers for fresh croissants. I do like being in town for the shops although we're all still adjusting to car and lorry noise during the day. It is quieter at home than I realised....

This is our street. Our gite is the yellow house at the end of the right hand row. And the flowers....well, I couldn't resist a photo....

Take care. Enjoy your lovely warm day too.....

  • Great to have somewhere new to explore, hope your Mum is keeping up. Mine used to sit outside if we ever visited anywhere with her. Museums, stately homes etc for example.

Off to South of England Show today on the hottest day of the year. I've told Mr that we can come back after 2 hrs. Had the reassurances this week that the pain is not it returning. Relieved but still adapting to life with the hormone absence. Onwards flatwards today as someone here says.
