Wow, what a quiet day. I’ve managed to get the washing dry outside and begun the gardening (cut back the small lavender hedge, it’s ok as it’s Hidcote and they can be cut back well)

Dexter modelling his towelling robe after his bath
Busy day today Dexter needed bath then went to nieces baby shower . Just finished watching Vera so off to bed now .
Good morning everyone. Having had a busy day on Saturday with a visit from my sister and brother in law I then had a fairly lazy day yesterday other than going for a walk. Back to the grindstone today. I got myself a bit worked up thinking about all my friends who have retired early and how most of the people I have met on the various Cancer courses recently have been able to give up work. Then I got worked up about how the transition each weekend from his Dad's back home to his mum's gets my autistic grandson do worked up he has a major meltdown and hurts himself bashing his head on the floor. So, I didn't get much sleep last night. But I have a busy day of work ahead to distract me!
These lighter early evenings are certainly more cheering and on my walk I passed tge most beautiful Bush with pink buds just starting to open!
Have a lovely day everyone.
Lacomtekp what a lovely post!
@Mag123…I know what it must be like…I am a little like that.
I also have a neice who is autistic, and I find it hard to sleep if I think about the awfulness of her meltdowns. They close all windows etc when she is screaming.I said “Oh that is so hard for you”but my twin said ,”It’s hard for her!”…which of course is the correct way of looking at it.
I watched the first Chris Packham show with an autistic young man who found a way to express what was inside and it was wonderful.
All the things he wanted to say came out.
Best show I have watched in a long time, and helped me understand xx
