JUST FOR YOU, night night xxxxxxx
Nice as it is to hear from you Londonlass,I was hoping not to read a message from you until the morning telling us all what a lovely sleep you have had
Anne
Thanks Anne, but think it might be a while before I leave this 'club' completely! Things have improved and that's good enough for me! Sal xx
Morning Lynn, how do I put this.........
Firstly the positives, NO full on hot flushes/sweats! I had a few flushes but minor ones that were sorted by kicking off my sheet, those I can deal with and it was a particularly warm night last night!
BUT
The nightmare that is Acid Reflux returned! Strangely enough I had it yesterday afternoon while I was napping. But then again last night! Not much fun and keeps me awake for a good few hours before it settles! I will discuss it with my Palliative Nurse, if it continues. It's not been a problem while I've not been sleeping, so I assume it might be connected to when I go into a deep sleep!
Hopefully it's something that can be easily sorted!
The other issue is I had to take 4 doses of the liquid morphine yesterday for breakthrough pain, I was pretty uncomfortable all day. BUT even with the pain I felt better, as I got through the day with minimal flushes and NO drowning in sweat! So I feel happier than I have in a long long time!
Just wish they had listened to me 3 weeks ago, when I first mentioned it!
Think today is going to be a hot and sticky day, but it will for everyone not just me!
Sending you a (((((((((((BIG HUG))))))))) Hope you get a good nights sleep! I'm guessing being too warm, isn't a problem with you right now! Well not from the weather anyway! Xxxxx
mmm sounds like there's some progress. Clearly the oxycodone didn't suit you. I don't like the sound of acid reflux though, that can be unpleasant. I had quite a bit of that during and after chemo but it seems to have gone fortunately.
It was -3 here last night so heat isn't a problem - I have solved that I think. I use my very light summer duvet with a throw rug over the top and feet sticking out. Just the right amount of warmth to avoid the flushes.
Actually, I have nothing to complain about today so I'm a bit boring lol.
Big hug
I expect someone will pop up today to help you , but I just thought I would say that morphine type meds slow the normal contractions of stomach muscles and reflux is a well known common problem .....unfortunately ...! You might need a ppi type drug , try to sort it before it gets bad enough to affect your oesophagus ....best wishes ,,,,,
