.
Can I ask if any of you lovely people have ever claimed PIP? I’ve been told a few times over the weekend that I should due to my new diagnosis which lets face it is not going to go away. Thanks in advance of anyones experiences xx
I've done it successfully for 2 family members but had to appeal. . There's a thread here -
MacMillan will also help with form. If you ring today to apply you will be sent forms either by mail or an email link, you might have to ask for email link. Your claim then starts from today but you've a month to submit form. If they won't give you electronic form you can type up and attach up paper form. Much easier than handwriting and just sent covering note saying you can't write for long periods or recall facts instantly.
So ring for form today/tomorrow then ring Macmillan help line.
You can claim for physical and mental health issues.

you can also nominate a person to help you or even an appointee, I'm an appointee for my daughter as she has contamination OCD so can't handle paper forms, they refused her electronic even though I queried them not making reasonable adjustment for a disability when I know they have electronic form. She also can't always answer phone if she thinks she is too dirty to touch or to recharge it or she might be having panic shower if they call- her assessment was over the phone but as an appointee I could do it for her .
Don't down play and put brave face on your issues just be honest how you are affected daily.
