Sorry just need to scream ARGHH!
Just been in card shop to get sympathy card for neighbour and alongside sympathy were get well cards in the middle of both I noticed another card . Not sure where they thought it fitted in best as was in between both .
It was a “sorry to hear you have cancer” card ! The message was ..Cancer is tough but you are tougher .
I know this may be ok for some but if someone had sent me this i would have needed a **** off card .
Ok I feel better now
That’s just tacky, Northerner! I agree, I’d be furious.
Hugs xxx
Moomy
I would just have been happy to receive a card to be honest
To be fair, I received a lovely card from my sister who had kindly stayed away from me last aug/sept as she works ina school whilst I was having my radiotherapy and the card said congratulations, no more or you’ve finished radiotherapy. It was a lovely thought but yes I would have cringed at the cancer card Northerner.
And yes moomy I've not been out house today but been sneezing like mad as some of the windows are open. I too have been suffering mainly with runny eyes. I have stronger antihistamines but struggle to swallow them so rely on the over the counter ones.
Owww Northerner, what a card!! what a flipping card..... worst still imagine receiving this .....
So the person buying it might thing its appropriate because its for sale - the person receiving the card - well it can of course depend on where about they are in their journey or how their journey is panning out......
My own thoughts .... not sure if its right word, but I feel the message is condescending ...... it's not about being tough or strong - we have no choice arrrghhhhh
Can I have a few of the your new **** off designed cards please
Hope you all have a good evening..... sunshine and clear sky may be on the way yahhhhy xxxx
Northernerlet's start a business of inappropriate greeting cards. I'll start with
