So glad all went well, Lacomtekp and you’re safely back home. Yes, the site is even more of a mess, some of my posts don’t appear yet some do, I don’t get notified when posts get into threads, (no I don’t get emails, never have) even with that little red number that appears, it’s frequently nothing to do with where/how I post and read.
GANDER, it does ease but I found sleeping on the opposite side to my mx took quite a while, wearing a decent supportive night bra helped, I had a Sloggi.
Oh and Snowys Mum, your mum really was beautiful but sorry your childhood was that difficult.
Hugs xxx
Moomy
I so enjoyed reading your memories as they reminded me of so many shared events. moomy ...our shop was the Home and Colonial but purchasing items was the same. I remember when the first Tesco in the High Street with self service shelves came. I was allowed to go and buy the odd item if we were visiting my grandparents who lived in a street at the back of the road. Today the shop is still there...it's a charity shop which gives you a clue how small it was.
Grogg.....I watched Princess Anne's wedding as a student and 2 years later when I got married ...on a shoe string...my dress from John Lewis' sale was based on the design. I paid £8 for a dress reduced from £75 but actually that was a fortune as I only earnt £96 a month as a teacher. After I retired I got £110 a day on supply!
For us the big royal wedding was Princess Margaret's in 1960. There was only one tv in the road. About ten families crowded in to watch......black and white of course.
@gander have you tried a v pillow to support it helped me to sleep on back after MX .
Worked initially. Still very restless, hubby banished to spare room for time being so I can be restless in peace, also he snores like a train; always has
