  • Oh don’t feel guilty . Yes , agreed . Stigmatising people that if they are private they automatically have more money than NHS patients is ridiculous .

Quite frankly I feel lousy so trying to fight my corner is beyond me .

You write those e mails though !

    Xxxx

yeah I did Nursing Aux 1981 then  EN in 1982 at local hosp, didn't know any better. Did EN conversion to RN 1995 and then BSc in 2012.  Wish I could do it all again xxx

I have got quite a few things actually, so am ahead with the whole thing x

I think that's a very wise way to look at it. So many women going through this in much worse circumstances, bless you I am fine x

  • Dear

Just to say I had a reply to my email earlier today. It was from Stephanie.(admin)

to cut it down I have attached part of her reply here….

“Macmillan grants are a small part of the support we offer. Grants are means tested so we can make sure the funds are going to those who need it the most.  If we’re unable to offer a grant for any reason, then we’ll offer support in other ways, such as investigating other grants or benefits the individual might be eligible for….

….The best advice you could offer is that they get in touch with the Support Line to see how Macmillan can help. They will need some personal and financial information before they can confirm what help is available. We don’t have access to Grants team information to check if a grant is something the member has already applied for, neither can we share that kind of information with any other member. If you’re speaking to PenelopeJ57, please do encourage them to reach out for support.

Our Support Line teams are available 7 days a week, 8am-8pm on freephone 0808 808 00 00, email or live webchat.”

I hope you will find this helpful,Penny xxxx

  • Yes can't seem to sleep through. Always wake around 3 or 4am. Make myself not look at phone as wakes me even more hence I rarely post even though I'm tossing and turning. Then i spend the day yawning whilst trying to work from home. oh well..keep going x
