Well Done Northerner, I have my COVID Booster on Tuesday!
Must admit I was a little frustrated with the news today! The comments about, if we don’t want restrictions to be brought in over Christmas then people need to get their boosters!
In other words the 50+ and vulnerable are expected to be vaccinated to save the younger population from having to wear face coverings or get the jabs themselves?? How does that make any sense!
Surely the only way we can continue on is for ‘everyone’ to do their bit. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for everyone to wear face coverings when on public transport or in busy places/shops!
Anyway I will get my vaccination to hopefully protect me, my parents and the wider community! The NHS really needs to get back to treating other health issues, as well as Flu and COVID!
Night night Fruit Loops. Sleep Well xxxxx
I had no idea LondonLass that “they “ had made the decision for 3 primary followed by a booster . Then I received texts and letters local auth told me to get booster NHS say as CEV I needed to get 3rd dose . So I emailed to ask what was the difference asking for clarity . They emailed back with a explanation but there were people there today going in for booster and being told this is your third primary booster to follow .
Maybe we got a full time job as pincushions
After being Jabbed went to shop hardly anyone wearing masks
I’m awake. Not been in this forum before. Just saying hello.
nawor……
Hope you are ready to join the Fruit Loops! Day or night there’s generally someone around to chat too!
If you feel up to it, feel free to tell us a bit about yourself. Everyone here is at different stages of diagnosis and treatment, so EVERYONE is VERY WELCOME! Sal xx
Northerner, blimey Margaret I hadn’t heard anything about a third primary and then a Booster?! Best not mention that to my Dad, he’s been really good about getting the COVID jab, but if they think he’s going to accept that many jabs, they must be joking!!
Obviously some of us are used to being jabbed regularly, but that seems a bit much! Can I ask which vaccine did you have for the first 2 or 3 now? I haven’t heard anything about a third shot before a booster? Mum and Dad had the Pfizer jab and I had the Astra one! But as far as I know we are booked in for the Booster?! Hmmm will be interesting!
Ahhhh I just read up on it. It seems a third primary is being given to those with compromised immune systems, before then offering them the Booster! So my Dad is safe……phew!!!
Hope your Vaccination went well Margaret and you don’t get any side effects from it! Sal xxxx
That’s so nice of you. Worry is plaguing me. I’m on my second breast cancer diagnosis. It recurred a year after first diagnosis. Have had two WLEs, unsuccessfully. Now having a mastectomy next week after multiple occult tumours were diagnosed in pathology.
I have my Covid booster tomorrow. Computer said No before but today it didn't.
Well that sounds pretty crap nawor! Did you have Chemo etc the first time round? Sounds like you are having a tough time. Bu5 let’s hope the Mastectomy puts an end to it!
We are all here to share the worries! Although we are all aware that worrying won’t change anything! What will be will be! Your team will find a plan that works for you! Hopefully this time they will find a treatment to really kick the cancer into touch!
I always keep a worry diary by my bed! If I find myself worrying at night I write every little worry in my book! Then I close the book and leave the worries there for another day! Most of the worries seem far less important in the morning!!
I also find listing my worries into groups! Things I can do something about! Things that I have no control over! If that makes sense!
Sometimes a worry can be solved, just by asking someone a question? Whether it’s on here or to your Breast Care Nurse/surgeon!
Other things, are beyond our control and sadly those we just learn to live with! Easier said than done! But with practice it gets easier!
I even find thinking about worst case scenarios helps me! That way I am prepared for the worst, but hoping for the best! That way I feel more in control! It sounds odd, but it works for me!
You’ll find what works for you, we are all different. Just remember you are not alone, we are all here for each other!
However at this point, I must say Goodnight! I have probably done a really good job of boring everyone to sleep! Night night Hun. Please try and get some sleep!
Goodnight to an6 Fruit Loops who are still awake! Sweet Dreams. Sal xxx
