Essjay52 Welcome are you new to site or just to this thread . Doesn't really matter which or both just being nosy lol
feel free to join in wherever you want . Lots of support and info on here ..a place to laugh cry ,shout or just chat
keep posting
Hi Northerner.. Fairly new to the site. Only recently diagnosed so still finding my way around.
Only cried once so far. I expect the tears will fall once treatment starts xx
Sarah.... Keep looking forward
Not necessarily Sarah like you nhs gave me quick turnaround ( my story on profile ) so tears initialy mainly over having to decision make ! Then no more tears until further into treatment usually with tiredness or temper lol
Thing is we're all different in how we react there is no right way only our way !
One thing I do know is everyone feels better once their treatment plan gets under way and you can start to fight back .
If you haven't already found it the April 2021 thread is up and running so lots of info on their also people who are possibly slightly ahead of you . It will change in May so it is ever revolving with experience and new .
There is also a link on their to a useful hints for chemo page .
Ask any questions you want there is always someone who can help on the site
Oh ! Just a hint if you want to reply to a specific person if you use @ before name you should get scroll to pick from then name is highlighted . Person is then notified of your response
How did you know I was trying to tag you? Is this the psychic thread?
Sarah.... Keep looking forward
No not physic just know the way the site likes to confuse also I wasn't notified it worked Essjay52 this time by the way I don't live in Cumbria we're lucky enough to have a caravan over here .
So we over here as much as poss . Although wi fi can be intermittent so I can disappear from site for days ..some might say good thing !
WhatHappened of course you are a favourite fruit loop. If we were all at school together we would all be wanting to be your best friend ha ha.
The airb&b is easy you do it all on your phone its an app. You can pick anywhere in the country, the money goes directly to the hosts. That was the 2nd airb&b we have been too, it a new thing for us as we usually do coach trips, which are obviously off the menu currently. Here is me at the beach I wish you had been there xx
Hello again Northerner just been trying to catch up on all the news- everything moves so quickly on here. While we were out on our canal boat my phone died so unable to post after first few days. It has now been replaced by a new one ! We came home on Thursday evening to find a letter for my year 1 mammogram for Friday morning. I had enquired before we went and was assured that it wouldn't be before early May- still it is done now , just have to wait for the resultsby letter. Keep your fingers crossed for me please- though as far as I can tell all is ok.
We had a good time on the boat and it was good to speak to others, at a safe distance on passing boats. Everyone seeemed very cheerful and the weather was kind with the sunshine but a cool breeze at times. Hope you are enjoying your time in Cumbria. xxx Kwissy
Hi Kwissy glad the weather was kind for you on the boat and I agree with you it's great to be somewhere that you don't have to try hard to SD ! We staying here still Tuesday hubby has chiropody home visit on weds. Sodepending on how we both feel might be back on Friday for BH weekend as next App. After that is my second jab on the 7th .
re First year mammogram it is nerve racking for everyone I think . The only problem I had was getting results they were sent to surgeon who didn't bother informing me of results took three phone calls but got letter eventually . So ask BC how long it will take then chase If necessary.
Hope you get back to boat soon
We've just had some good news.... Kind of.
We'd booked a holiday for September, Corfu, Tui have just agreed to refund the full amount, even the deposit.
So another year without going abroad. I really miss my holidays
We'll have to make do with a few days away if I'm feeling up to it xx
Sarah.... Keep looking forward
