.

  • I’ve made a lot of comments;

1.Archive = history = not in current use (my thread is there too) therefore any threads that haven’t been used for, say 6 months should go in there?

2.it’s MUCH clumsier and looks a total mess in the ‘today’ set up!

3.if a newbie post is answered it then needs moving as they are not new any longer; who is going to do that? Or can it be automatic? And then when will that person find it again?

    4. we are an experiment! and it hasn’t worked so undo it!

Sending all Fruit Loops a big ginormous HUG xxx

  • I've just had to use the 'search' to find the 'open letter to admin' to enable me to 'ven't arrrrghhhh!!!

I am so passionate about this site and the lovely people here - the Forum was brilliant - it felt like my safe place to come and talk about things not talked or shared 'in the real world' - yet this still felt real.  Now I feel lost, lonely and so does the site - I know it's 'a work in progress' but they need to change this 'now'.  I can't be doing with this upset and seeing the site complete ruined and made to be like a few other websites with online forums .... that I don't use for all the same reasons that I use this forum.

I can't be doing with this, other ladies may find it fine, to me, I am been honest - this new layout is not user friendly, it's cold and loosing everything special it had about it Sob

I wanted to suggest a category for our lost Fruit Loops - a memorial page.  In the 'old' style we could do this ourselves - in the new formate goodness knows where it would be.

Hope you can find the original post 'open letter to admin' or ..... can't remember the name of Admins page about updates - think I went on a link.

I would suggest anyone not liking this new format (hopefully it is a temporary one, as they did say it was on trial to see what we think)  - its best to speak up - if.... you can find where to go to post it - hold your ears
     Speaking head aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Sob

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x

Hi Puzzler.  It can be a bit daunting if you don't get on with technology.  I have done a screenshot of the page to show you where you click to get your messages,  Its on the top right hand corner.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi ..don’t apologise.I do hope you manage to get heard by admin, and that you get to see your friend for coffee.

that was beautiful the words you said about ....

  • Come on  let’s be realistic, S-A-N-E.... this lot? No bloody chance!!

This is what this site is really about! It’s making Special Friends who totally understand what a minefield Cancer really is!
I want all the people that come on here to feel the same love and support that we all feel. Because as Macmillan say “no one should face Cancer alone”! So please Mac DON’T turn this site into a cold and clinical site! Keep it the Happy, Supportive and informative site that it’s always been!

Night night Fruit Loops! Hopefully see you tomorrow, if I can find you! Although do you think we’ll be the last to move? As we have so many posts?? Maybe we have made life a bit tricky for them!! But it shows how long we have been supporting each other! Love you Fruit Loops xxxx

  • Yes what would we do without the craziness of the fruit loops xx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Oh yes of course  LP can come the night before. He can play trains with DH  to while away the morning. Sadly no trips to the railsway club due to Covid, but they can run around the floor. Xx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • , they can also STOP showing us the oldest thread fro 4 years ago every time we try to get in, sooooooo annoying!xx

Well, FruitLoops, I seem to have run out of treatment options.  There is nothing more for me to try, so today I switched from my oncologist's care to the local hospice palliative care team. I've had umpteen opinions, and lots of investigations, and they've all come to the same conclusion, so this really is it.

I'll stay in touch with the oncologist, so if any new treatment comes along I'll know about it, but for now I've been cut loose. Feels strange, after all this time.
