LondonLass have you had any sleep at all last night? I've been reading your replies to other posts. That was an excellent piece you wrote in reply to the question about living in a paralel universe. I don't suppose you canpaste and copy it on this site but if you could.....you should put it on here and especially on the chemo thread. I think a lot of readers feel like that but don't evenknow how to express their thoughts. It's very reassuring.

I have physio again today but first friends from the estuary driving over to have lunch. Today is one of your favourites LondonLass   we expect 34° so we are going to the summer only...river restaurant at St Aulaye. No worries about social distancing there. We are also still very lucky as although the virus seems to rampent in big cities and among the young, so far it is staying away from here. Can that situation last? Who knows? But now the holidays are over.....it just might!

I don't know when it will be cool enough for your visit.? Or if with Covid we will ever be able to travel again. It's now nearly 14 months since I've seen my mum and dad. I might as well have emigrated to Australia! Covid cancelled two planned visits in March and June and now......we simply can't plan....at 94 years and with winter approaching,  I have to realise, a visit may never happen. But unlike some....mum is desperate to come here for the sun and heat! She likes to sunbathe!

.Violetsniff I will be thinking of you with the gardener..........,...........It is difficult when people can't understand how insecure we all feel. ( read Londonlass ' piece on the seperate lives thread.) If you could explain to him, he might help and wear his mask. Afterall, he is obviously a kind person gardening for no charge.

Hope you had a good day. I wrote to you yesterday but when I pushed reply, it vanished! In summary just do what you fancy. Housework is overated....but if you enjoy the garden and eating with friends...perfect. 

Sorry if I didn't name you. I can't read further back. I know there were one or two other things I was going to comment about but the brain cells haven't recalled them!

Hi Karen, hope you have a lovely lunch! Sounds like the nicest place to be in those temps! As for me visiting, never say never! But like you say it might be a while away yet! 
Think like you we are currently in an area that has had very few cases, however there are now little ‘pockets’ popping up here and there! People returning from holidays mainly! But I’m trying not to overthink things. Keeping to the rules and hoping that will be enough to keep myself and my family safe! That’s all I/we can do!

Oh and in answer to your question, yes I did get some sleep. 12-4 and then ‘ping’ wide awake! Although am now feeling drowsy, so might just get another hour or 2! Flushes permitting!! Xxx

Well should have been at dentist today they rang and said the hygienist was back with dental hand tools only .I hate the dentist but was actually looking forward to getting teeth cleaned after long gap between visits . This aft I was picking up Granddaughter from school and they were coming back for brew Instead I woke in night with stomach pains. . Got up for shower but nearly passed out now in bed fed up but feeling bit better Day cancelled uggh  !! X

I totally agree with you and have asked admin the same questions.  I was interviewed to give my opinion on what could be improved on the old site and what changes could be made to make it more user friendly.  I wasn't involved in the new site testing but I know several other community champs were.

As a matter of interest.  Your post popped into my mail box a at 11:54 today but I note IT IS 8 DAYS OLD!!!!!  It must have fallen into a very big black hole.

I think admin need to appreciate that many of us on here have years of experience using software in our work lives and, like me, continuing to use since my retirement, but I often feel that the responses I get, from my comments on problems with this new site, is that they have me down as someone who has little or no idea of what I'm doing.

I have asked the question as to whether this was put out to tender, what this has cost and whether they had factored in site maintenance but as yet I have had no response other than my request is being passed on.

Just had another odd thing happen in the midst of typing - a box popped up saying "you are already a member of this group". Everything then disappeared and I was taken back into the thread.  I found your post ,and when I pressed reply  my response was still there and I am able to finish it.

Very dull here in Deon today, but I hope it improves for everyone for the weekend.
