thankyou for your kind thoughts re my lonesome day.
i had such a fabulous time when my sister came and it was so lovely to be accepted into her bubble! I held her arm as I shared her brolly and realised I hadn’t touched another human being for at least 3 months.I feel so sorry for older people who are alone.
I have given up watching the News ...
however, I do have a friend in Leicester and would love to see them!!
poxxy COVID!!

YIPPEEEEEEE. Its finally official, we will be able to go to Swansea in a couple of weeks to see the family and stay the night.
Good news ........I am missing my parents too but I think it will be the Autumn before I have the confidence to organise a visit for them. I live in a virus free area but it has made it even more popular than normal for visitors .....already the numbers of UK cars are increasing as people head to second homes and gites....how?....must be a loophole.....plus Parisians and Belguims so I can't imagine it will be virus free by August. My parents have kept well in Norfolk but are 93 years and I can't risk bringing them here especially travelling through places where the virus has been extensive. They are bound to need toilets and to stretch their legs........So we will have to continue waiting.
I know some of you are waiting on results or have tests this week and I am thinking of you. I too have oncology at the start of July which is a landmark for me as it is probably....if all is still clear. .....my last oncology consultation. I will continue with yearly mammograms but not consultations. It's a bit scary to be getting to the stage of being left to your own common sense......a little like the worry at the start. Now it's....will I miss something? I had TNBC so five years is an important point I know......but up until now I know I have been lucky that the aftercare I have received ( three monthly checks) has meant I haven't had to take responsibility and now I do....
Beautiful sunny day here....25°....will be pleasant. Off to garden. I may have had a week away last week but the weeds weren't on holiday!
P.S. Violetsniff....it wasn't snow but thunder and lightening . However I appreciate they were very difficult pictures to catch as the sheet lightening was so fast!
Being sensible is not easy, especially if you have elderly parents so far away. You've probably seen the reports of the idiots from last week. We have a friend in south Wales who has been travelling to England regularly to see his daughter. Its hubby's birthday in 3 weeks so seeing the family is actually a reality. My health trust suspended all but urgent mammograms and don't know when I'll get mine, I'm on an annual recall too. Trust your own instincts they rarely fail
Morning, all!
thinking of anyone who has any type of appointment today and hope all goes well.
I’ve been up for a while now, we have friends coming round to socially distance helping to get the remaining tree trunk down, also to have a peek in the motorhome, so I’ve made cheese scones and tidied up a bit! She is a fellow choir member and we usually try to sit near or together if we can. Their offspring are the same ages as ours, though for them it’s girl first then boy, ours were boy then girl! And they all went to the same school which is how I know their mum! They too have remained very very careful.
Hugs xxx
Moomy
