P S.Northerner .....I love your kitchen. It's very clever.
So sorry for your loss xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

Oh Margaret your kitchen is absolutely beautiful. You've done an amazing job.
Hope you all had a good bank holiday/VE day. No street parties here as I live in a rather reserved area!!! We had a BBQ with wine, beer, badminton, quiz and paddling pool but sadly no sausages as butcher forgot to put them in bag! So another BBQ tomorrow!!
When hubby was getting paddling pool out of garage at start of lockdown he found some bats and balls but we kept hitting balls next door. Then I remembered we had proper badminton racquets from when we used to play over 25 years ago, Out they came and my daughters fiancé loves it and wants to play everyday, we even bought 2 more racquets to play doubles! My hubby loves a game but is wiped out and in agony for days afterwards so It's down to me for the oldies . I'm really getting back into it now though and play a few games of daily ! We are getting much stronger and now the neighbours are plagued by our shuttlecocks!
Northerner/Margaret, that kitchen is looking great! You’ve both done a brilliant job!
Our street social distancing party was ok but actually at least one of our neighbours we knew would go has no idea of 6 feet so we didn’t go! However I did bake some scones and donated them, it was a funny time to have cake anyway, 6pm.....our neighbour at the rear (we live in a close with a road at the rear too) did an amazing display, made ‘poppies’ from the bases of used Plastic bottles which they put out with a donations tin and have raised £750 for the British Legion and got the display filmed!
Your post about shuttles bombarding your neighbours made me giggle, Grogg! I would be the same, I was useless at tennis at school, if I actually managed to hit the ball, it went anywhere, but mostly it seemed my racquet had a huge hole rather than strings!!!
Hope all you fruit loops have a healing weekend for body and soul

Hi Moomy
This brought back memories of my school days and tennis. The class had to walk about three miles to the tennis courts (although there were others nearby - but probably not council owned). This took at least 3/4 of an hour each way, then we had to take it in turn to play, and my racket had a hole in it too. I think we all enjoyed the walk and being out of our strict girls school rather than the tennis.
Take care,
Lynne
PS - I love scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and they're good for me at any time. And here in this part of Devon we put the cream on first! x
Night night fruit loops all, sleep well and stay safe
sleepy fairy dust to hand for all who wish
