Just woken up for a wee! Hands killing looking like a velocerapter s claws. After much messing about MSC clinic have finally agreed to injections in trigger fingers, but baby due any minute, grandchild, and hats and blankets have to be knit.
Do you remember February last year it was t shirt weather.
Boob still full of fluid, but I think fancy sponge, which corrugates my boob, and the tape are beginning to work, but still a long way to go and the nipple is still showing evidence of dye. Apparently this CAN be an indicated that lymph isn't draining. , Surgery was last July. Because I'm wearing a bra in bed I can sleep on my left side. Acid reflux has been less of an issue. Basic plumbing and physics helping if my memory of the digestive system diagram are correct.
PRegnant daughter lives about 40 minute drive away so we will be on call to babysit the granddaughter while in labour. We don't drink and drive so as from yesterday, when I realized we've signed the pledge till we open the champagne. Hopefully it will give my diet a boost.
Well pain relief and stretching has sorted fingers, so "Goodnight" Don't stay up too late What.
Good luck Thurs(snd Weds) LondonLass, be thinking about you.
The CBT went very well. It offers a very logical solution to anxiety and PTSD. I have to make a list of traumatic events for next time, and he will teach me how. ti defuse them. It’l be a long list!! They use EMDR which is very effective.
I will tag Optimistic as I’m sure it would help xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
seaspirit44 My daughter had CBT and EMDR for OCD. The CBT was limited in effectiveness but she found the EMDR good but exhausting. Last week she had intensive 5 days 1:1 treatment at OCD treatment centre. For her exposure they used flooding and it was effective even though she found it extremely distressing. She had to touch her biggest fear first which was toilet and then go straight to her others which are shoes , sitting on chairs, putting in coat, touching herself etc all without washing her hands . The theory is your brain is confused so can’t throw up the usual anxiety for all your fears. She had to sit with the anxiety as the therapist said she needs to retrain her brain to accept anxiety and resist engaging with it as this feeds and grows the OCD. She’s trying really hard but is exhausted as anxiety and intrusive thoughts robs you of your energy. She also has to do mindfulness and focus on relaxing her body.
Have you had any EMDR yet? How did you find it?
LondonLass haven’t read back but guessing you have your procedure to investigate reflux? Hope it goes well xx
