Good morning lovely Fruityloops!
I've not read back beyond the last couple of pages, so big love and hugs to anyone and everyone who needs them!
I had a lovely weekend in Nottingham watching Northern Ballet's Cinderella! Lovely ballet, superbly danced by the very talented young people in the company.
Only small drama this time (there always has to be one...) was that I had a spontaneous bleed inot my eye just before the Saturday evening show, and given my record with the non-stopping nosebleed I had in Canterbury a few weeks ago, we kept an eye on it (eek, bad Monday pun alert...) to ensure that the bleeding didn't get worse. Luckily, I hadn't done my anticoagulant injection, so I left it for that night. I now look like I've done several rounds with Mike Tyson, and it#s a pain as it's the eye that I'#m meant to be having the cataract done in on 12th December. Typical for this to happen the day after I finally got the date through! Hopefully if they can't do the left eye, they'll do the right one instead. Have my pre-op assessment on Thursday, so will ask then.
Just finished another knitting project for a friend who wanted something 'different' for her Christmas tree. She's Christmas mad, and already has her tree up! I don't even think about that until the weekend before Christmas, and I haven't bought any pressies yet... Meet pig fairy!
She has sparkly wings, but you can't really see them in the picture!
New chemo tablets seem to be going well side effects wise (there aren't any so far, although I am still taking some antisickness tablets just in case) . Not sure whether they're working yet, or if they will. Still having my lung drained twice weekly, and the amount taken off is still the same, so it's not reducing yet. I'm still very breathless, even after draining, so having a chest Xray this afternoon to see whether the left lung is also filling up, which might mean I have to have another drain fitted the other side!
Good thing though is that I've FINALLY got the council to arrange pick up of the clinical waste bags that have been building up in the garage - there's almost as much of me in those as there is inside the house!!!
Anyway - good luck to anyone who has tests, results, treatments or appointments this week!
Why should I bother .. you don't seem to be ...laid there in your pit sleeping off the overnight trials of eBay !!
WHATHAPPENED ARE YOU LISTENING

Hi all, i’m Afraid the cannulation fairy must of been busy elsewhere! 3 attempts, blood on floor...so I definitely had veins....but they finally cannulated and scan is done! Now the waiting begins!
The nurse then suggested for next time that they get the vascular access team to do the cannula. She said it might mean waiting around for a bit but it’ll save me being a human pin cushion!! So fingers crossed next time it’ll be easier!!
Hope everyone else is having a better start to their day!
Cathy I’m glad you managed to get to the ballet and with only one small drama. Also pleased to hear you have a date for your cataract! I’m sure you’ll be fine with doing the other eye! In my mums case they couldn’t scan the right eye anyway !
Sending Love and Hugs to all. Thanks for all the good luck messages! Now off to bath poor LP, he was stood right next to my arm trying to get a good look when the blood dripped everywhere, guess who got covered ! Whoops!!!! I did tell him to keep out of the way but he never listens!! Xxxx
I can't "like" that even as a sign I've read it! Vascular access team - great idea, Definitely worth a wait next time. Hope this wait not too long.
Ooh Northerner that last GIF is a bit scary, little dog looks as if he'd have a go at the little girl for disturbing him. Great selection though!!
