Aw Judith I'm am truly sorry to hear about Pia. She certainly looked a character and so intelligent. If I were to ever have a cat I would have wanted one just like Pia.... I was a great admirer. I can empathise with you losing a beloved companion ... I send condolences and lots of gentle hugs
Xx
“ The only constant thing in life is change “
Good morning.....
Sorry Silverberg....I'm late again today so wasn't there to chat at 05.00. The amitriptyline is knocking me out......Hope you got to sleep in the end. The warm weather forecast isn't going to help you for the next two or three nights but perhaps your granddaughter will wear you out!.....Have a lovely day and stop worrying about being retired.....trust me, you're going to love it.....
JMP....I'm so sorry about Pia. I don't have animals.....if I'm honest they still terrify me and although I'm always kind to friend's pets, I don't like them jumping on my knee......but I know pets are part of your family and the loss of one is as important as a family member.Add in the shock of a sudden diagnosis and I know you will feel very upset today. Suffice to say you couldn't have done anything different......Pia won't suffer now........
And by coincidence Whathappened.....your kindness to a stray has given you the same dilemma. You'll make the right choice both for you and the cat......( I am assuming that his illness only effects him and won't spread if he's in contact with either other cats or people? It's a different decision then) ....Not an easy day ahead but I'm thinking of you.
Londonlass.....if you can organise a ' get together' I might just be able to meet you all as long as there are links to public transport. I should like that.
Now, I need to get on. Plants need watering.....38° forecast for mid afternoon. A lazy indoor afternoon I suspect!
Hope you all have a nice day,
Love Karen
Jmp/Judith- Sorry to jump in but just wanted to say how sorry I am about Pia, it’s truly heartbreaking and I’m sending dirty great big hugs to you - you will always wear a paw print on your heart xxxxx
Morning all, trying to catch up on various threads after a few days away.....
, so so sorry to hear about beautiful Pia. Pets are such an integral part of our lives so they leave a huge void when they’re gone. She had a wonderful life with you and I try to comfort myself with the thought that my pets didn’t know if their lives were long or short, what matters is the quality of the life they had. And Pia was clearly happy and adored by you. Sending big hugs to you. HFxxx
Aw Judith, so sorry to hear about Pia - what a terrible shock and I know she'll be a massive loss for you. You gave her the life she never would have had if you hadn't rescued her, and you did the right thing for her in the end. Such a young cat to become a victim of this bloomin' disease...
Be kind to yourself - she was part of your family and your companion and you're bound to feel bereft without her.
Massive hugs to you!
So sorry
such a shock for you .
Please remember all the happy times you gave Pia after rescue
((((hugs))))
so sorry for your loss xxxxx sending you love and hugs xxxxxx
