Hi Sal Blush.  (And everyone),  Beautiful photo of you and friend’s babyBlush

I have found it difficult since my “ retirement “ as have worked with young people 11-19 for the last 21yrs. I miss that interaction, and also my former work colleagues Confused

Of course my time is filled up with medical crap: daily blood thinner stomach injections ( until May anyway), chemo, bloods every 2 weeks, so the time goes by.... Hoping that I can go onto tablets in June and then organise some activities!

Would like to do some volunteer stuff maybe with plants/ gardens, in addition to yoga or maybe Pilates.

Here are some pictures I took earlier in week on a walk back from check on Lymphoedema arm ( which is stable).

    Judith xx

    Hi,

What a lovely photograph of you & the baby.

You are such a kind & loving girl you certainly do not deserve what you have been `dealt`.

I think everyone on this site would love to turn back the clock. I would be 15 again & not go out with anyone who had glandular fever.

The Barr-Epstein virus had not been found then, only 50 years ago this year. Who knows, if they knew about it then I may be cancer free.

    What a lovely thought.

I hate doing the heparin injections, but both of my son`s-in-law have offered to do them for me if I hit a bad spot. I said they only want to see my wobbly bits!

30 weeks doing them daily, but I am certain there are lots of others that have had to do worse.

    Warm wishes to everyone x

  • Apologies I didn’t mean to sound so self centred. Of course we would all turn the clocks back or maybe done things differently if we had known. It’s just yesterday was a very tough day for me. In fact going back to London was tough really tough! It’s hard revisiting life before Cancer! Especially when at the time you were very Happy/Content with life!

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend! Promise to find some happy/funny pics to make up for my moaning!! Xxxx

  • Okay Ladies, as promised something to hopefully make you smile........unless you are easily offended.......hmmmmm don’t think that’ll apply to any of you!

So today we shall have a little bit of ‘culture’! Let’s have a few poems.......

This one reminds us that MEN have it tough sometimes too.......

Ignore the bottom lines that was just on the pic I copied!

Next shows the difference between Men and Women.......

And finally one for the Childcarers or parents! So you can keep with the times........

NOW PLEASE TELL ME AT LEAST ONE OF THOSE MADE SOMEONE LAUGH OR JUST SMILE A LITTLE! Xxxxxx

I am mortified Sal, no-way did I think you were self-centred!

You are so big hearted & caring for everyone, I was saying where I would like My clock re-setting.

I can understand 100% how you must have felt & very strong of you to hold the baby because it was a dream you can never have. For someone so young you have been through so much.

    Sending a big hug & a sorry.

    Viv x

PS moan as much as you wish.

Hope everyone having a good weekend. I'm in Swansea, been watching the youngest play  rugby (he's 15) nearly the end of the season and all the lads are a bit crackered.
