Flipping heck Karen , talk about a catalogue of errors! I can't believe it, all that time feeling rubbish. Hopefully you're now on the right track.

    Hug gratefully received.

  • Arrrrggghhhh indeed ! So sorry you have suffered for so long and not been believed. Happens far too much. I've had experience of that more than once in the last 2 years, and now my granddaughter has gone through the sane thing. I hope they get your dosage right quickly. And good luck with the job hunting! Xxxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Sorry your news wasn’t what you wanted to hear, , and let’s hope you get sorted soon, think they should listen to us we know our own bodies, but sometimes it’s like we are banging our heads against a brick wall.

Well MRI scan done, forgotten how noisy they are. LP was well behaved and is on his way back to you Sal, . Just got to wait for the results and hope they don’t find anything sinister.

Hope the rest of you lovely fruit loops have had a good day. Good luck to anyone having treatment or appointments tomorrow xxx

Stay Safe everyone, Love and hugs Jenny xxx

ive been lurking for a year and a half but this is my first post - hello.  i had a mastectomy june2017 followed by chemo, herceptin, radiotherapy and since march 2018 am taking anastrazole.  i too have an underactive thyroid and feel like shit. i keep going back to the doctor but he keeps saying that although boarderline i am on the correct dose of levothyroxine    i was worried the tiredness meant my cancer had returned and told my oncologist that i was so tired i could literally sleep sitting down despite getting lots of sleep. its got to the stage where i wake up feeling so tired that before im even out of bed im looking forward to getting in from work and going back to bed.  my oncologist says its the anastrazole but im not convinced.   im certain its my thyroid as im getting palpitations too but the doctors womt increase my dose and im beginning to think they think its in my head - but its not

Hope you dont mind me asking toxophlite - how did you get your doctor to send you for a scan?

Ah Jane (  ) , that's definitely not what you wanted to hear! Sorry that the Cape has stopped working, but welcome to the Eribulin club!

I start my 9th cycle next week and it seems to be holding things back at the present time, but it is a worry when you go through crugd quickly and options become more limited. My oncologist told me that this was my last option, although he has more recently said that we COULD try GemCarbo if this stops working.

Fngers crossed that the Eribulin will work for you !

    Big hugs...

    Karen (

Good that at last you have a reason for feeling like crap! Fingers crossed that you can get on the right meds and you'll be feeling tickety-boo very soon.

Blimey, you'll be unstoppable - if you can do everything that you do now, just think what you'll be like when you're feeling okay!

big hugs to you as well!

    Welcome

It seems that thyroid issues are not uncommon around here! I have an underactive thyroid too (NB must remember to have my thyroid bloods done as it tends to get 'forgotten' in all the rest of the appointments!) but my GP was good enoguh to treat for symptoms rather than blood results, which was handy! Is there another GP in the practice who would be more sympathetic to this approach? Being that tired all the time is not good, and who ios to say it's the anastrazole - it might be something else entirely!

I would keep battling to see if you can change theur minds about trying an increase in levothyroxine - not always easy I know!

Hugs to you and to any other fruit loops who needs them at the moment - plenty to go around!

Thanks Cathy . I'm glad Eribulin is working for you. Hopefully it will do the same for me. I know everyone is different with side effects, but a rough idea of what to expect would be good. Have you lost your hair?

Jenny, glad the MRI went well. Fingers crossed for good results.

  • Hey , and welcome!!

How I got the scan? I made such a nuisance of myself, even having a couple of total meltdowns, I think my current GP decided it was in his best interests to get a diagnosis. Once my TSH was high and rising it was easy enough - antibody test and get a look at it. He already agreed that my TSH was high enough that he would treat due to symptoms. So it looks like Hashimoto's, and it already killed half of my thyroid.

Cathy , here's hoping!! I've forgotten what having energy is, and what actually wanting to eat feels like.

Sooooooo many things now make sense!!!!!

    Xx

    Karen
