Oh dear,...such a shame those taxis put their prices up...wow thats dreadful....I had some taxi drivers (they were old grumps-I hasten to add not ALL taxi men are like that!)who refused to take me home from my weekly shop, just after my op.(I wasn’t meant to carry heavy bags)I told my brother and he said it was because it was a small fair.
They didnt know anout my DIEP and I wasn’t about to tell them.
Invisible to them...but not to me!!xxx
I’ve just spoken to a lovely BCN who did my dressings last week and she said if I can get to the hospital just ask for her and she will come and sort me out.i expected to have to wait until next week or tomorrow at the very earliest.not risking walking to and from tram stops as very icy here and I’m clumsy enough at the best of times so off in s taxi which will hopefully be a lot less than £40!!
Hope you managed to sleep LondonLass, with that problem off your back, despite the residual sadness xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
What a nightmare , so sorry you had to put up with that; last thing you needed so soon postop. Hope your wound heals normally now. Are you attending Christie or somewhere else for the surgery f/u ?
My counsellor could not get out of her road yesterday, so we skyped. Was quite glad I did not have to go out. Made it to choir pm as the snow had started melting and it is only round the corner. I put old stockings over my boots to avoid slips. Went for a walk today locally and the stockings seemed to help, even though it was icy. Can't stand being stuck in the house, even though I'm terrified of falling.
Hope to go to Tai Chi and the choir on Monday ? see you there if you have recovered from your hospital journeys xxx
