  • Hi you sound like your exhausted, and yeah at times it can take so much time to read though. But your wanting to read though properly because of not wanting to miss anything important, I worry for that at times because i care about everyone and although i feel powerless to help at times it doesn’t seem to matter even if only a quick hello to say your alright, so dont worry too much you will get there.

Are you ok? I hope LP and LNP are looking after you and Bella is keeping you comfortable in theses cold days and nights at the moment. It seems the temperature has really dramatically reduced or is it just me not being able to cope with the cold anymore its hard for me to think i used to wear my shorts all year round and was warm, I must of been crazy Stuck out tongue winking eye

enjoy the ballet, hopefully the reduced dose of your chemo helps you but also help to reduce the hotel nhs and hopefully not too many germs at the ballet wanting to mess with your body.

anniversaries of our diagnosis always seem to make us tremble but as each year follows on we feel the well i am still standing here and the i cant believe its happening and happened to me, and can real so surreal,Enjoy the fireworks over the weekend at the local bonfire and sending you a hug and best wishes for the 9th.

i hope it feels great to be rid of the picc line and well done with getting though all the chemo, and hopefully the steroids side effects lessen so you can have some productive sleep, sleep seems a great healer for so much.

not nice having a flat battery to deal with, with this cold weather you need to keep warm. Glad that there is some great people in this world who could help you. Are you on call over the weekend or are you just having some well deserved rest from work? And enjoy treating your bow in Waterlooville.

, enjoy seating watching the fireworks outside  from the comfort of your warm chair, i hate these long dark nights too, it makes me feel exhausted more and it seems to be dark too long for my mind to be happy. After working years on nights I always hated winter months because i never saw the light, at least i do now.

i do hope your enjoying some Zzzz after a long and tiring day.

Everyone else i do hope your all ok and getting some sleep and feeling rested.

    Hi .

Sorry to hear that you’re not feeling too good. Chemo is ....,.well you add the word.

I’m finding it hard to sleep as problems with my medical stuff eg should I have an operation on my left eye ( Asteroid Hylosis) ? It’s like having a cataract there again Unamused I was due to have the op Feb 2018, then had to start chemo.

Should I refuse Denosumab injections as 1 in 10 people get jaw necrosis as a side effect and my teeth are sensitive and I’m prone to bleeding gums? These are issues I’m thinking about.

Also,  I’ve got insomnia ( chemo ?) and have sleep apnea. So as CPAP machine not successful now looking into mouth device to bring jaw forward.

I have got appointment with Oncologist Monday Nov 5th. My previous one was great but she’s gone to do research in London. I have seen replacement once and he seems ok. I know of another Oncologist, and she was recommended to me by the NHS Lymphoedema Practitioner who I saw Friday afternoon. So may seek a second opinion.

I’m also wondering about Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment as read it can help with chemo and also radiation damage ( which I have). Also might help my sleep issues !! I never felt so well as when I came round from my second cataract op 2 yrs ago! Must have given me Oxygen to bring me round from anesthetic!

Don’t know if anyone has tried Oxygen therapy ?

    Hope to sleep soonSleeping

Well actually been up for a couple of hours …. tossed and turned all night. Howling wind (not me!) and lashing down all night didn't help but it seems to be calming down now.

.. love the black cat pics .. the sleeping one is sooo relaxing just watching him breathe.

Don't know why but feeling a bit weepy last night. I read a post on another thread (can't remember title) and this sounds daft but after all this this time I just realised all I've been through. It helped actually as it dawned on me the empty gap I've been feeling is the wanting people to recognise what I've been through without me going on about it but without them pretending it never happened or ' you're cured now all is back to normal.

Apologies for starting the day moaning but I'm ok actually and happy within myself (you'd never guess would you).

Going to decorate my bedroom later so will be busy busy.

Have a great day all my lovely fruit loops.

    xx

  • , I'm okay thank you staying with Prickles for a few days! Enjoying some girlie time away from my parents Slight smile It's definitely getting/got colder so not your imagination. Although if your heart rate is low you will struggle to keep warm, so wrap up if you need too! Xx

    Good Morning to EVERYONE.

Hope everyone has something nice planned, even if it's just snuggling in front of the fire! Can't believe it's November already! Nearly Meet Up time!

Glad to hear the Chemo Ladies are doing well. Cathy , fingers firmly crossed for you!! Let's give hotel BHS a rest for a while. Really hope you enjoy your little break and have a lovely time at the ballet!

, totally understand your feelings re the Denosumab! I have opted to leave it until my bone mets start to progress. My feeling being I am currently stable, the DEXA scan showed my bones are strong, so why add a bone strengthening drug now? If/when things change I will of course think about it again and possibly decide to start the injections! I have been reassured by numerous medical professionals that the jaw necrosis doesn't happen that often and even those who are affected don't get it too badly because they are so aware of it these days and they react to the signs/symptoms very quickly!

Have they explained to you why they think YOU would benefit from this drug? My feeling is the proffessionals get drawn into this one size fits all mode of thinking. They follow their guidelines, which works for many. However I feel it's up to us to take a step back, look at our own situation and decide if something is right for US at this time! If you aren't sure then leave it until you are ready! Don't feel you have to have it just because they have offered it! Hope that made sense and helps a little xxxx

  • Morning , I hope you enjoy doing your decorating. I think there's something nice about watching a room being transformed into 'your room'! Just don't overdo it. You HAVE been through a lot and your body is still healing. Sending you a ((((((((((gentle hug))))))))) to start your day xxxxxx
