Hope everyone has had the best day they can xx
Hi all. Firstly Jenny () I am pleased you had such a lovely day and even more pleased to hear the celebrations aren't over yet! We deserve at least 2/3day birthdays!! After all the crap we put up with!! ENJOY!! Xxx
Optimistic, I have been debating whether to tell you this or not as I want to word it so I don't freak anyone else out.
There are no set rules/patterns when it comes to Cancer! There is no point assuming yours is anymore likely to come back that someone else's! Last year I lost Annette. She was diagnosed at about the same age as me, the cancer was removed with a mastectomy and then Chemo and Radiotherapy just because of her age. It was only in the sentinal node. However just 2years later she had a swollen lymph node in her neck! By the time her team got together and checked it out her cancer was widespread, lungs and liver!
Now I'm not telling you this to scare you I am telling you because Annette's Cancer should never of returned/spread! But it did! My own cancer was supposedly only slow growing BUT it had already spread to my bones in under 2years! WHY?
You have 2 choices spend every day with the thought of it returning ringing in your ears or tackle that IF it happens! You are being regularly checked, you are aware of your own body and you know to report any changes! There is every chance that the cancer WON'T return! Remember back to diagnosis when 1 in 10 lumps are cancerous and we all drew the short straw, well at some point you might just find you are in the, however many percent who don't get a lump at all OR in the 9 who have non cancerous lumps!
You have been doing so well at reigning in these thoughts and I totally understand how hearing these things makes it seem more real all over again! But you my lovely need to stick two fingers up at cancer and tell yourself.....TODAY AS FAR AS I KNOW I AM NED.....and TODAY WILL BE A GOOD DAY!!
You can do this Hun, you have beaten these thoughts before you can do it again now!
Hope that doesn't sound too harsh! It's not meant too! I care about you Hun and I hate to think of you getting yourself worked up over this! Time for a HUG?
Sleep Well Fruit Loops xxxxxxx
Oh dear Optimistic, yiu didn't need to hear that, triggering your fears again. Big hugs xxx
