Ha ha...Am not as daft as I look! ....
well done LondonLass...take time for yourselfnow and let it all sink in,doing nice things while that happens xx
Yes, I do remember Belle and Sebastian - it has been one of my favourite boy's names ever since!
Sorry to hear of your redundancy Sal (LondonLass ) - you're bound to feel sad at the end of an era where you've always worked hard and enjoyed what you do - I felt the same when I finally admitted to myself that I needed to apply for retirement. However, it gives you a well deserved chance to put yourself first for a while so that you can get back to being as well as you possibly can be so that you can enjoy life to the maximum whatever you do in the future!
Massive hugs to you xx
seaspirit44 - wahoo - good news on the Dexa scan - go you!
toxophilite - hope the bloods went okay today and that they can find out what's going on and sort you out!
Hope everyone has had as good a day as possible - hugs to everyone!
I went out last night to see Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake after cancelling at the weekend due to being at the low point in my chemo cycle. It was fabulous and I was lucky enough to get my dream team of lead dancers - can't get better than that!
Yahhhyyyyy Great news seaspirit44 - I'm so pleased for you.
I don't think anyone apart from the other Fruit Loops on this site actually understand or realise how stressful the waiting is.
Really pleased xxxx
Thank you WhatHappened. Even if it is not actually for cancer resilts it is still stressful if it has a big impact. xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
seaspirit44, Violetsniff and ........
Your words of encouragement meant a lot to me, so thank you! Xxxx
Jenny Thank you for your continued support through all of this! You have been an amazing friend and I really appreciate everything you have done. XXXX
seaspirit44 glad the DEXA scan result was a good one.last week when I saw my consultant for my post op check I mentioned my changing from tamoxifen to exemestane.my GP wanted me to check with him before I start it.consultant asked when my last DEXA scan was.???never had one.why would I have i now know after reading about exemestane myself that they need to regularly do scan to check for osteoporosis.now been booked for March but can start tablets now.
Yesterday was a nightmare.i had an appointment at the dressings clinic as my wound around nipple(had good boob given a heave up during reconstruction op)had opened a up a bit last week.usually get 2trams.luckily I checked online before leaving as 2nd one cancelled due to snow.ok i’ll get a taxi.spent 25 mins trying to get one with no luck.woke my son and got him to use his Uber app.journey would normally be £11-12 they quoted £31-40!!and I would have had to get another taxi back.needless to say, I didn’t get to my appointment.now i’ve got the fun job of trying to rebook as I’m anxious to get dressing changed and check it’s healing ok as nurse seemd a bit worried about it.mind you she’d already covered it up before the surgeon and colleague came in and they were too busy admiring their work on my boobs to bother
