  • and , I too go to a health club and finances work out similar. Ther is the advantage. (To me) of a outdoor pool.(heated!) I used to be embarrassed in the changing room, but I don't care now. They can look all they like at my mastectomy and abdominal scar! The only time I am uncomfortable is in school hols when ther are lots if kids around, especiall boys. I would be very upset if some  child made a comment.  But after seeing a double amputee one day  I gave myself a good talking to ! Xx

  • Saying Halllooooo to all fruit loops xxx

you definitely should spend your hard earned on the hotel swimming pool and spa.

Well done to all swimming fruit loops, I am only a warm weather swimmer. But I walk in all weathers I did 5.5 kilometers in an hour today trying to build up to 6km.

I had a blood test last week and everything fine except cholesterol was 6.2 !! Is this really bad? I was shocked as the last time I had a check it was 3.4 but this was before Letrozole came into my life. I realise this is nothing compared to issues being handled by other people on here. But any advice welcome.

I'm eating Apples, Porridge, plant sterol drinks and green tea. Have not been offered Statins yet any  views welcome.

Wishing everyone a good week, with hopefully no appointments, no side effects and I hope we don't get snow xxx

  • That’s Letrozole ! . Keep to the best diet you can and go on exercising. You can’t do much more. Have you  any family history of cardiovsscular events? If si you will hsve to br stricter re diet, though I’m sure are on a good diet already. I would be very wary of statins personslly, side effects! Good luck xxxx

You seem to be eating very well already snowed mum , you know food only accounts for about 10% of your circulating cholesterol. Seaspirit 44 knows what is what ! Before you go down the route of statins you might like to know what your HDL ,LDL and tricycerides are .....and then take advice from a medic you trust .......only my opinion .....please talk to a professional  etc etc ......letrazole did this to me too ..........good luck and best wishes that this is not too much of a worry ....x
