Thank you for my lovely birthday posts, I am feeling really blessed. I got lots of lovely gifts today, the best being a spa day for me and one other from my 2 children, although my daughter looks like she will benefit more as I will take her! My son gave me a really ugly card with yoda on. I have to say I was a bit confused as I am not a star wars fan. When he came home he said 'because yoda best !!!
My colleague's (step) mother in law is struggling with her secondary dx, I have told my colleague about this wonderful group and about maggies. She does not know how to approach it with her because her father finds it hard to talk about. I do not know this person but I hate to think about anybody struggling with a bc dx. Any ideas how I could approach this?

Back again.
First docetaxel went ok. Made it to the retirement dinner and it was a great night. Went to bed at 2an and woke at 5.47.
full day at work today. Crashed out 8.30pm and woke 12.05 and here I am. Can’t even find the blessed sheep never mind count them. No SEs yet but not good waiting for them to kick in.
good job it’s the weekend.
Did somebody mention sheep?! ()
Well Done on getting through your first Docetaxel, that's one ticked off!! Xx
Hope everyone is having a good one! Good to see the site up and running again!
So a question! I have been thinking about trying to get back into swimming as I used to love doing it and it helped with my pain when I swam everyday, back in May last year when I was away in Bideford!
So The problem is my local pool is closed due to fire damage and the other public pool is 2buses away and it's a very old and slightly grubby looking place! But that's not the end of the world! However I have found a health club near me its set up in a hotel and they have a 12metre pool as well as a Spa pool and gym etc! Now it's obviously quite expensive although not as expensive as I imagined it would be!
So my question, bearing in mind I'm 99% sure I'm going to stop working for a bit, possibly for good, full time at least and I am looking at claiming some sort of benefits. Would it be wrong of me to join this club, using my savings? I just feel that maybe it wouldn't be right, but I really want to try and improve my health, especially with the OA to deal with!
Maybe I should just grin and bear it and go to the public pool!? Any thoughts? Xxxxxx
I'm with Sue on this one Sal LondonLass!! Get yourself a year's membership while you can. And who knows - the pool might be open again by then.
Goodness knows you've earned a bit of luxury!!
Hugs xx
