Hello! So! The consultant today was all good, no cancer left! They removed 18 lymph nodes but only 1 had had cancer in, there was a small amount of cancer left in the breast but it has been completely removed with the mastectomy so only the herceptin 3 weekly until October. Some issues around the reconstruction, nerve damage and some other minor things around shape and feel but they are permanent, in the grand scheme of things not hugely important, hopefully they’ll calm down over time I’m still in a certain amount of discomfort but getting better each day, still taking the painkillers. They said I have the right attitude and to just keep following my instinct and going with it, I’m ahead of the curve apparently. Hope everyone else is doing ok and has a nice weekend lined up, lots of love x
So good to hear some positive news. Look after yourself x
Thank you both. I hope so. I hope when it all calms down and heals a bit there are improvements in sensations and shaping, not that I’m overly concerned about shape as it’s reasonably good but there are a few things, I’d gratefully sacrifice aesthetics for a lack of pain and I’m grateful beyond words to be cancer free xx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
