  • Hi  Welcome to this  “ special “ group . I joined only a few months ago It would seem membership  is free and all sorts of packages here . Advice , anger management ( or not , it is as you feel ) insomniac club is quite popular ( I’m a solid member of that one ) . We also hold serous debates on topics ranging from whether marmite is the spread of gods or should be banned . Also best use of step ladders and whether the general public should be give scripts so they don’t say such ridiculous things to us BC people !
Humour , support and compassion . That’s the key benefits of being part of us.
It’s really easy just to say “ don’t worry “ of course you are going to . I also have started a journal and found it helps to write things down.
My personal journey from surgery in September has been bumpy. The advice and support I gained from participating in these  forums has  “ armed”  me with enough information to give me the confidence to ask ( in my case ) for medication and physio .
Also as I gained trust in the group it became clear no question is stupid . And please don’t think you should be “getting on with it “ . This disease is cruel.
    Together we are stronger.

    Hope that helps xxx

Off to make a cuppa . Clearly my body has decided to do the graveyard shift again !

    Damm .

  • Thank you @santababy . Oh it’s not easy is it ?

  • Nope this damn rollercoaster doesn’t seem to stop, slows at times then takes in on another loop the loop, we sure are all a group of daredevils.
I did manage to get to sleep after reading but awake again and disappointed to see it wasn’t at least 5. Hot flush and having bad joint pain at the moment, joys of tamoxifen I’m finding.

Got hair appointment today, tomorrow I have new flooring going down in my kitchen/hall after a refurb (still not finished Rage) then back to work Wednesday after 3 weeks off, hence I was hoping for some good nights sleep but auto pilot it will be .

Hope you have all managed to drop off and are dreaming nicely, love and hugs xx Anne

  • We're looking forward to the photos  ....Are you pleased so far? OH has one bit of our kitchen left to do. We have the work top, new sink and units but it involves a chimney and OH is a perfectionist plus in his defence, he's had a lot of health niggles which have left him lethergic, so I am still making do with three new sides and one to be done!

Good morning all.....I hope you are all asleep now. Welcome .....fingers crossed the mastectomy is the answer. I think you will find this group cheers you up a bit  and  find some great humourous additions whilst others,  like myself, can provide it by themselves( climbing on broken chairs and wondering why they collapse!)

Take care all. Extra love to  and family for today......love Karen

  • Hi

    Sal

My first and second jab was Astra Z.   Yesterday my third was Pfizer .

In a way I was lucky and had received Two notifications using different terminology ( booster & third vac ) and me being me fired off an email asking for clarification .

So I was ready to be told back in 6months . I have to say it was very efficient as soon as I gave my name the response was “you are here for third primary “  I was given a sticker so it could be recorded correctly .
It was explained that I would receive exactly same dose as booster but I would be asked to return in 6month.

There were a couple of people who hadn’t realised because the notification isn’t that clear ,but rest assured the paperwork at the centre is up todate and basically if you’re considered immune compromised you will be offered a fourth jab .

  • Morning Karen I hope you are not feeling too bruised and battered this morning and can get on with enjoying your day . It’s so cold here at the moment The N.E. winds are blowing .
Hubby getting on with our new outdoor shelter putting waterproof curtains up today .

The next part of the job will be bamboo slat across the back . We’re pleased with results so far . At least if COVID causes more restrictions in winter we will have a ventilated / sheltered space outdoors .

  • Hi . Oh that’s good to know I had exactly the same vaccination process as you .
Didn’t really understand why I was having Pifzer when I had previously had the Astra .

Had to have it in my leg this time , ouch that was sore !

  • Hi  I asked yesterday and they said scientists no longer believe conflict between vacs so can have different ones . I’ve no after effects just slightly headachy and tired …..so no real difference Joy does make me wonder how long I will be low immune system but I’m quite happy to be jabbed every 6 month if they want Joy

  • Welcome . What a dreadful time you both have had!
I have to have jabs in my leg also.

I had a most interesting walk this morning at the local waterpark. Saw one of the parakeets and actually got a pic. I sit outside the cafe for my cuppa and was in amongst some twitchers with long lenses. I learned such a lot from them about which birds I was looking at. Bit of a novice, but love watching them. Will try to post some pics…..

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
