Oh Cathy, I wish you lived by me, as I'd do the same and cook her whatever she wanted. My cat is my baby and I hate to think of any animals hurt. I know she is not in pain, so that helps. She is so beautiful. My thoughts will be with you tomorrow. I'd say be strong, but you will no doubt fall to bits and that's fine! Xxxx
Re me, yes, it is great to see they have dealt with it so quickly! They were on the phone while I was there and then sent 3 emails apparently! They are usually very fond of telling us that a few weeks makes no difference in this game! They can't be that worried as they still zapped me. Last one tomorrow!!! Xx

None of us wanted to be in this group, but we are glad we're not alone.
Diagnosis 2/8/17 IDC Her2+, 22mm, with spread to several lymph nodes. TCHP chemo started 23/8/17, Mx with immediate, temp recon 24/1/18, rads 20/3 to 10/4/18, Herceptin by IV until Nov 18. RR Mx Jan 23. Still waiting for reconstruction, but opting for simple implants, as opposed to Diep, due to long waiting lists for diep.
JoDec - hopefully the 'day' won't be tomorrow - we'll keep and eye on her for the next few days and give her all the treats she likes! I think we'll know when she's ready...
Re you: Hopefully whatever the lump is was severely smacked by the zapping today! Will be thinking about you tomorrow!
oh I am really sad to hear about the fact the ineviable is only on hold. When you’ve had an animal so long it’s heartbreaking there part of the family.
This was our little boy who sadly collapsed last June and had to be put down we had over 25 years. This picture was of him a couple of weeks before, you can’t see for the rug but he went to skin and bone so drastically he had liver and kidney failure. I like to think that he ( his name was Aramis) I like to think he is watching over us all. It was more upsetting because we had him put down on the Monday and I was diagnosed with cancer on the Thursday.
I hope what ever time you have left can be as beauiful as possible.
GBear - thanks for that - Aramis was gorgeous!
I think we all know our pets so well that we know when the right time comes to put an end too any suffering. When we lost one of our other cats last year (she was 19, so also a good age!) we knew she was in pain and she couldn't eat very well due to a really fast growing tumour in her face - it came up almost overnight - so we took the decision to have her put to sleep whilst we were at the vet.
I didn't think Mini was ready for that today - she was really quite bright and she is still eating and drinking well and not showing any signs of pain. However, she is quite a stoic cat, so I'm keeping a very close eye on her behaviour for clues...
Well looks like it's time for A........
I'm sorry to hear your news Cathy (), pets become such a special part of our lives. Always there for us. Never Judging us. But whatever happens over the next few days, you will NEVER forget your fur baby and she will most certainly NEVER forget you! Remember we are all here to listen and support xxxxxx
JoDec, I knew you were trouble as soon as I met you ;-) So pleased you mentioned it to them and pleased they are checking you out tomorrow! L.P and L.N.P will be in your pockets! We will all have our fingers crossed for good news!
Sending lots of love to everyone! Monday is such a down day after an amazing weekend! Xxxxx
Aha, so it is Monday's fault! I should have known! I'll let you know what they say when I get home. They said they were not worried and after all the chemo and rads it really must be unlikely that it is anything sinister! I really think this is just damage to the lymph nodes in the area, so fluid and maybe a swollen node. If they are worried, they will no doubt send me for scans and that's when the vile waiting game kicks in again! Fingers crossed and LPs in pocket!!! Xxx
