Maybe one last one? Before I TRY to get to sleep!........
Gay (wombat.23) you are such a lovely lady, who has been and continues to go through so much. Its just not fair, you deserve a break. I wish there was something I could do to make things better for you, but sadly I can't. The only thing I have to offer is my friendship, a listening ear and a virtual hug whenever you need one.
You have been such a wonderful and supportive friend and I hope and pray that things are sorted soon and that we get you back on these boards, properly, sharing your wise and supportive words to everyone! I miss you Hun. Although I totally understand why you haven't been around so much.
JUST REMEMBER, WE ARE ALL HERE FOR YOU!
Happy Birthday, Love you my friend. Sal xxxxx
Hi,just “come back in”to read the latest posts.I wish I could remebmer (as I have a restricted brain for many reasons...)all of your many needs, but those I can relate to,my brain relates to,so....
I can so relate...I remember us having to take my Dad into a Nursing Home, and I couldn’t tell him, except his Carer came in and announced it and I remember sitting on his bed in tears but I could let him see.He was a wonderful person as I am sure your Mom is,and the day they go in is very heart -wrenching.But it really was the best thing for him,I knew that.I could tell you a few tales of when he settled in and was having a sword fight (with walking sticks) with his friend, they were great pals.He used to be in the Army you see...and he loved the hot dogs and nice puddings. And I would go in quite a lot to see him and sit by him and do my painting etc.So try to look at the future happily...
also @wombat.23.Yes A Very Happy Birthday!!have a fabo treat which you have avoided all year!!
and ..what a fabulous painting of a very tasty cake!!and I did love tour painting of “Owning the Dancefloor again”!(prolly that was my fat bottom,ha ha ha )...I didnt want you to miss the fact that I thought it was great....wellNight All,xxxx
P.S.Totally unrelated...but am loving all the imaginative ID’s you have given yourselves...I really really want to change my name now....but dont want to cause confusion,so maybe I will stick with Cannon...but I do love,”Fluff”,...or”Blinkie”...or”Somnambulist”...or...or...”One foot in the air”or...or.. brain needs sleeep x
You could always change it and have (aka Cannon) after it, until people get used to your new id?
- I'm totally jealous of Horatio Cornelius. I know I only have a PICC line, but I want to name it too, mine is definitely a girl. I'm going to have a think.
I was just going off to log-off when I noticed the extra posts.
Oww Violetsniff, your words about your Dad have brought me to tears, I can't and don't want to imagine the feelings you had to go through. Life is so cruel, we can easily miss out on how good and lovely it is by getting wrapped up in the mundane.
So, I'm sitting here in tears reading your post, then I get to the part when your Dad has settled in and is having a sword fight with his friend - this made me chuckle.
Sending love and hugs to both Violetsniff and xxx
Definitely going now, going to feed cats and go to bed... think I'll leave the cuppa x
Thankyou,WhatHappenedWhatHappened very kind words...xx
Also, what a brilliant idea I may just do that....
xx
