Unknown said:I had the cold cap Karen and like shey I had more problems with the chin strap than the cold.after the first one I had a very painful chin and jaw for days.then I was told to get a silky scarf ,put it under the strap and pull on it now and then to ease the tightness.this helped a lot.just wish someone had told me before my first cold cap!
Hi Anne,Â
Great tip about the scarf !! Gonna try that on Thursday - may even be able to eat some of the lovely goodies passed round the chemo unit !
Shey xx
Oh Sal I know how you feel.i am lying on top of the bed dripping in sweat and have just had one of my don't know why I'm crying but the tears keep rolling down my face episodes.i seem to have days like this and there's nothing I can do about it but I get annoyed with myself because I shouldn't be such a wimp.i blame it on the tamoxifen because I wasn't like this before.yes I'm in pain from my surgery  but it's not that bad and it's getting better and I am cancer free so have no right to be feeling sorry for myself when others are going through so much worse.hope you manage to get some sleep Sal.big hugs
So, week before chemo (3) and today I have done the weekly shop, cleaned the house top to bottom, finished the ironing and tidied my patio pots for the Autumn in between 'entertaining' visitors who came to volunteer to do the above!! Trouble is, I am still WIDE AWAKE and don't feel tired despite a candlelight bath, Horlicks and 'white noise' app! (can't wear cuddly jamas cos I sweat too much). Oh well back to the iPad games.
Hope everyone else sleeps soundly - Shey xx
Hi Anne,
Have you mentioned your symptoms to your GP? The reason I ask is, I am a Mental Health nurse and hormones (or lack of) can cause clinical depression even on a milder scale. Take care and sending you a big hugs (must learn some piccies  ) xxxx SheyÂ
It's just tough some days isn't it Hun? But we are all here to help each other. So thank you for the hugs, here are some ((((((((((((((BIG HUGS))))))))))) for you, may I also offer you a soft tissue, to wipe away those tears?Unknown said:Oh Sal I know how you feel.i am lying on top of the bed dripping in sweat and have just had one of my don't know why I'm crying but the tears keep rolling down my face episodes.i seem to have days like this and there's nothing I can do about it but I get annoyed with myself because I shouldn't be such a wimp.i blame it on the tamoxifen because I wasn't like this before.yes I'm in pain from my surgery but it's not that bad and it's getting better and I am cancer free so have no right to be feeling sorry for myself when others are going through so much worse.hope you manage to get some sleep Sal.big hugs

Thanks Sal.I'll use my own tissues yours  might make me sneeze
Hi Shey, oh the nightmare of not being able to sleep! I'd like to offer you some great advice but I don't have any, if I did I wouldn't of started this post! I go from sitting in front of TV barely able to keep my eyes open, to in bed with eyes wide awake!! Work that out!
Hopefully you will drop off soon and get a good nights sleep! If not you will need to start adding pics so in the morning, those that slept have something to help them start the day with a smile! May as well make use of these sleepless nights!
Night night xxxxx
