Hi to all out there!   Been catching up here tonight very reluctantly though as actually had a sleep last night....all 6 hours of it and was determined it would happen again tonight,  WRONG!!!!!!   Dog lying sound oh beside me on the settee, not minding a bit as he'd be on the floor upstairs instead of a comfy soft place..

Rain hammering down outside as forecast, so they got that right!  Fire gone out so won't be sitting up all night tonight.  Yes some people still have real fires and not have heating at the click of a switch!  Don't mind the work of it, done it for years.

I could have kept it in but hot flushes kicking in more and more since changing to exemestane.  Quite strange feelings and something never really had when I went through 'the change'.  After a 2 week holiday off the letrozole I started on the new one and thought brilliant less side effects, but every day now they are creeping back.  Its a bummer!!

Love all the photos captions etc that folk find and put on here.  However who puts them there in the first place??  How did we all manage to express ourselves without the use of a emoji before.  Who thought of them???  Bet he/she is driving a Merc to take their wages to the bank.

Not clever enough to find a picture of anything so wishing everyone SLEEPZZZZZZ and good night what ever that means these days

  • I had bad heartburn most of my adult life and used to eat loads of Rennies...apparently they can cause gall stones which I must have read somewhere after having op to remove gall bladder. One of the stones moved and blocked my bile duct turning me yellow. Thats why had it removed.

In 2011 when I was having chemotherapy the heartburn was so bad thought I was going to be sick and oncologist prescribed some Omeprazole which for me was like a miracle cure but a little while back there was some research published about side effects so I decided to try and do without the omeprazole..the heartburn was worse than ever until I joined weght watchers and didnt have any hearburn at all probably because I was avoiding chocolate and biscuits and cakes etc.

I am now taking omeprazole again as not being so strict about what I eat and cant bear having heartburn.

I only take 1 capsule 20 mg but this was increased temporarily by oncologist when I was having chemotherapy years ago.

On Thursday 17th October I will find out if breast surgeon is referring me back to oncology for more chemo!

Previously I have tried sipping boiling water, gaviscon, avoiding chocolate, not laying flat in bed,  as ways of trying to get rid of hearburn.

Let me know if you find something that works for you.
