That's us so accurate, no point worrying about it. So many things is rather do.
Tree hugging for one. Haha
I love this Northerner So me!!
I bought a download able knitting pattern from Etsy at 1.30 am. I thought I would have a go at the jacket I bought wool for last year. But the patter said to cast on 129 stitches. Knit a row, pearl a row then 3rd row, knit 7 knit two together yarn forward and repeat the knit u knitv2 together yarn forward until you get to the last 8 stitches. Please, if anyone is a knitter, can you help? Multiples of 9 leave me with 3 not 8 stitches!!!
I also ordered some shoes and boots to try as I have no shoes and my boots have beenived in for 2 years and are not the best condition. I love 3 of the 5 pairs. One is a new ankle boot, one a shoe boot and one a sling back shoe. What should I do?
I agree Snowys Mum the John Grisham books are great. But I have really struggled with reading since the diagnosis. I have the occasional day when I get lost in a book the way I used to, but these days that seems to be a rarity as my mind tends to wander.
Ah Grogg You have been kept busy when you need to have the time to yourself and relax.I'm sorry you are feeling down. My father died 6 months after his 60th birthday. I shall be 60 in August so I totally empathise with where your mind has been going. But I am sure, had they been doing heart bypasses and stents regularly at the time he passed, he might still be here. The advances made in medicine over the past 30 years are incredible x
I have been on standby all day to look after the two youngest grandchildren while my daughter does some tidying but she hasn't given me a time yet!
Mags123 ...I was going to suggest something like Snowys Mum . Check the pattern actually says to repeat the knit 7 stitches and not just the the knit2tog wool forward to last 8 stitches. One way to check is to look at picture of pattern. Does it have ss panels or is it a row of holes at the hem? Without seeing the actual wording I don't think I can help much.
The knitting itself is a great idea. I find most of the time ...it relaxes me. Just occasionally I pick the wrong pattern and concentration is very stressful!
This was my last wet weather project.
At the moment I am using up all my old wool by making a jacket in coloured squares. I have made the squares...73....so now I have to stitch them together. Will it work? We shall see....
I’m in Cumbria Mag123 and haven’t brought knitting with me but I think it similar to a baby pattern I used . Look at photo of finished jkt mine had panel at beg and end of SS and a lace type pattern on the main body if that makes sense . Good luck
Night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe, plenty of sleepy fairy dust for all who wish (think @grogg got a double helping by the sound of it!)
