raedd I did write to Macmillan regarding not being able to tag you and hence you might not see supporting posts.xx
Grogg It is interesting that the people you found a little irritating at your classes have grown on you.I have found that in the passed too.
seaspirit44 So sorry you had that awful time on holiday. How dreadful for you.xxx
Lacomtekp how wonderful that Le Tour is being run through some of your favourite places!!how exciting. One year one of the cycling teams were riding through a nearby town and I thought about visiting the Castle to have a bird’s eye view. However,Castle closed !!Love your stories from France xx
Thank you everyone for your good wishes. Some improvement but still watery diarrhoea and wiped out. Been to GP; they want a stool sample, and sod’s law I can’t produce before 12 noon deadline!
That’s the holiday gone I’m afraid. Travel to Oxford Sat, see Phil’s daughter, home Monday. Not fit for any of it. Not like me, I usually plough through. This has floored me.
Must remember, I am lucky to be alive st all after 2 cancers, and lucky to reach 79. Many don’t.
Thank you lovely fruitloops for your support as always xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

“ The only constant thing in life is change “
My course was so casual. It was part of adult education and onky £10 per 20 weeks. We were a group of generally ladies in 50s & 60s with a couple in 49s first term but then next a 21 year old joined and last term a couple in their 40s. We have nurses, retired and working, retired teachers, stay at home mums, etc office & retail workers. The class not taxing, I started with no sewing machine and we learnt basics of hand stitches, threading a machine, sewing corners etc.but quickly moved onto a tote bag. There was lots of scrap fabrics there to use but we had to buy fat quarters and remnants as weeks went in. Teacher full of tips where to buy and yo ask for end of rolls or buy clearance curtains in Dunelm. I buy from pound fabric online. I've had cotton for £1m . I'm hoping to sign up to beginners gardening in September. I'm not very arty or good at languages but there's a few courses if you are usually. They normally cheap and 20 weeks at time. Our teacher came for lunch with us and said she feels we are friends not teacher, students.
