Thank you  and Northerner . The wait is awful, but also I wwon’t be able to get a blood test via GP in the time he said, they are rushed off their feet and the junior docs strike starts Tuesday. I will have to go to the walk-in at the pvt Hosp and pay. I’m scare the ALT will keep rising and I need advice about meds. Xxx

Oh seaspirit44 what awful timing to be given that news, you will be first in the queue on Tuesday to get the necessary appointments.

I unfortunately had bad news from my oncologist on Monday, thought i would be getting the go ahead to start chemo but instead she told me she would not recommend I have it. She said it would make me sicker than if I didn’t.

My head is all over the place, should I be glad she wants me to as well as possible for as long as possible, should I insist she gives it me????????

I think if the onco is saying no to the Chemo they must think it would have more of a negative than a positive effect. You could ask for a second opinion though. Just to put your mind at rest and let you move forward with this.
