The solution to insomnia is simple Rach........................
Of course working out how to do that is the trickier bit, so I'll leave that to someone else. Because clearly I'm useless at sleeping!!!
Hope you manage to get some sleep!
Night to all xxxxxxxxxxx
So glad you got listened to LondonLass - let's hope the new drugs do you a power of good AND help you sleep.
That's exactly what happens to me. I rarely have a decent long sleep. I'm trying to work out whether it's one of the (many) drugs I have to take or whether it's something else.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
Hi all, **whispers this** as I don't want to speak too soon as I know it's VERY early days BUT..........
I have had 2 minor hot flushes since 8.30pm! I slept for a couple of hours and probably woke through habit, although was in a little bit of pain, so maybe the dose will need tweaking, I'm not expecting miracles. But not waking dripping in sweat for the first time in weeks is amazing.........fingers crossed it lasts!!
Hope EVERYONE else has managed at least some sleep!
How did you get on Lynn? Did you have a good day? Xxx
Woo hoo, here's hoping ...
Not bad sleep for me - 3 hrs then an hour awake then about 3.5 hrs. That'll do.
It's lunchtime Sat here now. We just went to Costco and Aldi for the 3 monthly staples' shop. Not an entirely pleasant experience as himself has a hangover and is slightly (!) grumpy. Might have a nap this afternoon.
That doesn't sound too bad Lynn. I've just had a hot flush, bit sweaty, but definitely not the full on drowning so fingers crossed! I suppose tomorrow and the next few days will show if its going to be better. Although the weather is due to be hot so I might just be naturally sweaty anyway!
Hope you enjoy the rest of your Saturday, I'm............
Thanks for always being here for me and everyone else xxxxxxx
Glad things seem to be improving fir you londonlass, hopefully you'll get a couple more hours sleep and things will carry on getting betterÂ
Sending you a (((((sleepy hug))))) for some more sleep for you xxxx
Thanks Hun, I did manage to drop off for a few more hours  Had one small 'hot' moment, where I sweated a little but I mean a little no wet hair or wet bed sheets! So there was definite progress. So now to see how things go during the day!
Well after months of not sleeping very well day or night, I think I might just start catching up,on some sleep! I've just had a 2 hour nap!!
i think at this point I can confirm that the Oxycodone was the cause of my MAJOR hot flushes/sweats! Today has been a VERY warm day and yet I have only suffered with a couple of minor flushes, the hot flushes that I used to get. The ones that last a min or two and only make you sweat a little! I feel so relieved, but just wish they had listened to my concerns earlier!
As for the new pain med, the one issue is its not quite controlling the pain at the moment as I have had to take the breakthrough meds a couple of times today, but I'm sure that will settle and if not I can increase the dose. Right now I don't care, getting through almost 24hrs without dripping with sweat, has been absolutely amazing! Just hope it lasts!
Sending Love and Best Wishes to everyone, hope you are all coping in this hot sticky weather! (((((((((((((Gentle cooling hugs)))))))))))) for all xxxx
