In the scheme of things this is a silly question and I'm a little embarrassed to ask but for all you lovely ladies who have gone through treatment and are out the other side 'How are your eyelashes?'
I was diagnosed Nov 2015, had FEC T chemo, radio and finished treatment July 2016. I lost every strand of hair on my body all of which is now back and growing well - I'm now sporting a long pixie cut!
But my eyelashes are not doing so well. They grew back after chemo but then disappeared again. They have come back again but very short and very sparse. So much so that mascara is almost impossible because there's nothing to put it on. For special occasions I use false lashes but I just a bit scared they'll not come back.
Before cancer I had fairly long lashes which with eyelash curlers and mascara looked nice. Now there's certainly something missing.
Has anyone else experienced the same? Xx
I had the same experience.
Diagnosed Oct 2015 then 8 cycles of chemo (cychlophosphamide and abraxane), surgery in July (therapeutic mammoplasty) - then a delay as wounds wouldn't heal followed by radiotherapy that finished in November last year. Further op around June/July so I get matching boobs!
My eyelashes were just like yours - I decided to try RevitaLash Advanced 3.5ml serum and after a couple of weeks started to see a difference. Been sing since the end of November and have long gorgeous lashes better than before!
Got mine from Amazon - not cheap but worth it. Still using every night so it lasts a long time.

I've always had areas on my lashes that are too sparse, I started using eyelash growth serum of dermalmd a month ago and I can see lashes starting to grow in the sparse areas, they are only about half as long as my usual lashes but I'm hoping in a month or two they will get to be the same length. I haven't noticed any lengthening to my lashes but it's making just more lashes. I put it on at least once a day, usually before bed. I also sometimes put it on in the morning if I'm not going to be wearing makeup that day. I have very sensitive eyes so I was concerned this might irritate them, but it has not been an issue.
