Have had horrible problems with bowels and pooping for decades.
Went in to emergency room with blood in stool. Ran blood tests and had aggressive CT of abdomen. Suspected hemorrhoids. No follow-up at all.
Still having blood in stool and severe pain in rectum.
Made appt with surgeon for hemorrhoids. Banded two and asked to return.
Return for more banding. Saw something didn't like so completed biopsy.
Called at home with positive for cancer. Asked doctor to order MRI with and without contrast STAT. He REFUSED! He told me I needed to see a surgeon. BAD ADVICE!!! Told him that I do not trust medical anymore!!! he hung up.
DYING!!! Went to toilet, something very wrong! BLEEDING from bowel movement and it will not stop!!! Finally got bleeding to stop with faint feeling and severely thirsty! Call famed Colorectal Surgeon in adjoining state and they asked me to get there as soon as possible. The person recommended I seek help at ER for excessive blood loss. Went to ER. NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally secured authorization to see Colorectal Surgeon and made appt.. EMERGENCY!!! Doctor said it is critical and must enter hospital in 3 days for 3 days to complete MRI, flushing and colonoscopy with biopsy.
Called at home 3 days after release and told, "Positive for stage 2 rectal cancer and it is critical you be seen by Oncology . . . NOW!!!!
I live in the USA and am suffering from the absolute WORST healthcare imaginable!!!
