Hi, I’m new here. I was diagnosed in May 24 after 2 months of rectal bleeding (I thought it was haemorrhoids!). No other symptoms or examination findings but my GP decided to do a FIT test anyway which was sky high so I was referred for an urgent appointment and subsequent colonoscopy revealed a 4cm mass 7cm up in my rectum.
i completed 6 sessions of FOLFIRINOX (some were different combinations due to liver issues). In October 24 I was told the tunour had shrunk to 1cm and no lymph nodes were affected any more.
surgery November 24 - LAR with 0/54 lymph nodes effected. Ileostomy reversed March 25.
First follow up CT was Aug 25, still waiting for results but have received an appointment through for the liver team (sore point - no call from surgeon or CNS’ explaining results or that referral was needed).
